Yo-yo strings are available in polyester or cotton.

  • Polyester fibers: they are not natural, they are rather rigid. They are therefore much more robust than cotton fiber strings.
  • Cotton strings: they are more fragile, they will last less time but they are softer and allow a better feel of the yo-yo.
