Video detailing Wes Peden's Play clubs:

The video gives an effective explanation about the choice of the core and handle on the Play Sirius club.

Which type of dowel to choose?

Your first choice you have to make is the club dowel. This defines how your club will behave and its final total weight. The PX3 and PX3 Light dowels are flexible and will give your club some flexibility. Fiberglass and aluminum dowels are the stiffest. The EX1 aluminum dowel has a slightly larger diameter than the other dowels. If you are used to clubs with a wooden dowel, the EX1 is the most enjoyable club for you to juggle with. The aluminum version reduces vibrations in the club as much as possible.

NetJuggler's opinion on these Play Juggling clubs:

This model is assembled entirely in our premises when you order. It is at the same time robust, elegant and comfortable to juggle with, it will meet the requirements of professional jugglers. One of the advantages over all the other clubs offered on our website that have a central wooden dowel is the resistance of the Play clubs. They are ready to face all kinds of extreme conditions: juggling outdoors, bouncing off walls etc. And if you have an issue, we master this model like no other and we are available and at your service for the maintenance of this model that you can return to us at any time for a complete check-up.

For what type of practice should the PX3 club be used?

  • This club is recommended for experienced jugglers. It's affordable and thus allows beginners to have a well-balanced club in their hands for solo juggling and passing. A beginner will find it difficult to feel the difference between the 4 models of central dowels that are offered. Between the PX3 and the PX3 Light there is only a difference in weight. The PX3 Light is suitable for children or experienced jugglers who want to juggle with a lot of clubs at the same time without getting too tired. Also ideal if you are prone to tendonitis in the wrists.
  • Recommended in circus workshops : robust, reliable and affordable equipment.

For what type of practice should the PX4 or EX1 club be used ?

  • This club is recommended for experienced jugglers. Compared to the PX3, the dowels in the center of these clubs are rigid. This is reminiscent of the rigidity of the wood used in traditional clubs. So if you've been juggling clubs with a central wooden dowels for a while, the transition will be easier for you by choosing the PX4 or the EX1.
  • The aluminum used in the EX1 is 7075. This is an alloy that gives the aluminum significant strength while retaining the lightness properties of the aluminum. It doesn't bend. The dowel of the EX1 being thicker than the dowels on the PX3, PX3 LIGHT and PX4, the various elements of the club are assembled in force which reduces the vibrations in the handle of the club. The EX1 is therefore very stable, it has good trajectories. If you train your 5, 6 or 7 clubs, this is where you will feel the benefits of this aluminum dowel the most.
  • NetJuggler recommends the PX4 and EX1 for professionals and experienced enthusiasts.
