Ground acrobatics

Floor acrobatics encompasses all acrobatic movements performed without aerial apparatus, focusing on body control, balance, and movement on the ground. Originating from gymnastic and circus traditions, it includes rolls, handstands, twists, scissor lifts, bridges, and contortion elements, combining strength, flexibility, and coordination. The principle relies on the controlled sequence of movements, joint range of motion, and management of the center of gravity to execute fluid and safe figures.

The necessary equipment is minimal: a suitable floor (gym mat, track, or shock-absorbing surface), comfortable clothing, and possibly protective gear (knee pads, wrist guards). The difficulty ranges from beginner level (rolls, somersaults, simple balance positions) to advanced moves requiring strength, mobility, and gradual learning. Progression is based on technical work, muscle strengthening, and a thorough warm-up to minimize risks and build confidence.
