Acrobatic lifts

Acrobatic lifts are a discipline of acrobatics performed in pairs or trios where one or more bases support a flyer to perform static and dynamic figures. Originating from circus arts, acrobatic gymnastics, and folk acrobatic traditions, the practice relies on balanced centers of gravity, body alignment, and synchronization between partners: the base provides support and stability, the flyer creates the lines and postures, and sometimes an assistant acts as a counterweight or spotter. Techniques range from simple ground balances to high lifts, including transitions, reversals, and controlled landings.
