"Dare to be the sincerity of the clown" workshop in Vitré

The workshop "Dare to be Sincere in Clown Performance" will take place on October 17th and 18th, 2026 in Vitré. Over two days, Anne-Sophie will guide participants in an exploration of the body, letting go, and the authentic presence of the clown.

This training is for those wishing to deepen their stage practice and discover how clowning can transform vulnerabilities, hesitations, and emotions into performance. Emphasis will be placed on physical engagement, availability, and audience connection.

Speaker

The workshop is led by Anne-Sophie, an actress and clown with a master's degree in theatre studies. She works with several troupes in the region, including Les Deufoizin, Les Zapristi and Compagnie Artémiz.

Program

Over two days, participants will explore the sincerity of the clown starting from:

of physical labor;
exercises in letting go;
research around presence;
of the relationship with the public;
improvisation;
of emotional and stage presence.

Organizer

The workshop is organised by Les Comédiens du Dimanche, a Vitré-based association created around the practice of amateur theatre, the creation of shows and artistic encounters.
