Every summer, the Multi-Pistes Festival transforms the magnificent grounds of the Château de Nexon in Haute-Vienne into a vast meeting place dedicated to contemporary circus arts. Organized by Le Sirque – Pôle National Cirque Nexon Nouvelle-Aquitaine, this event has become one of the essential gatherings for contemporary circus in France. For six days, artists, companies, locals, families, and enthusiasts come together in an exceptional setting to enjoy a unique cultural, artistic, and convivial experience.
From August 10th to 15th, 2026, the festival takes over the castle grounds with a particularly rich program combining shows under big tops, creations in public spaces, participatory performances, concerts, workshops, art installations, food, and entertainment. More than just a festival, Multi-Pistes is a true community celebration where everyone can create their own itinerary according to their desires.
This 2026 edition brings together twelve shows from contemporary circus arts. Audiences will discover Mucho Bueno, Cadres, Quarantaines, Get High, Ça nous fait du bien et c'est pour ça qu'on le fait, Commencer à exister, Ignis, Orbites, La Balançoire Géante, Une pédagogie du conflit, and Golden-Bug—artistic offerings that explore the multifaceted nature of contemporary circus. Acrobatics, balancing acts, aerial apparatus, physical theatre, dance, music, humor, poetry, and visual performances intertwine to offer a demanding, innovative, and accessible program for all audiences.
The festival isn't just about the shows. Several "Extra" events enrich the experience, including Photomaton, ØBLíK, Masculin·es, Naïade, Tremble, and La Grande Tablée, a large, convivial meal organized on Wednesday, August 12th, allowing the public to share a special moment with the artists around the performance of Quarantaines. The festival's closing night also includes a musical evening featuring Tumult, Hans Künze, and Vega Voga b2b JC (Vox Low).
Young festival-goers can also fully participate in the event thanks to circus workshops designed for children aged 6 to 10 and teenagers aged 11 to 17. Held from August 10th to 15th, these workshops offer the opportunity to discover or deepen their knowledge of various circus arts disciplines in a fun, safe, and professionally supervised environment. Participants can choose a package of 1 to 5 days, with prices ranging from €36 to €140.
To allow everyone to fully enjoy the program, several booking options are available. The All-Inclusive Pass grants access to all 12 festival shows at a preferential rate. The XL Pass includes the shows Cadres, Commencer à exister, and Une pédagogie du conflit, while the XXL Pass adds Masculin·es and Ignis to the lineup. Families can take advantage of the Tribu Pass, reserved for groups of 3 to 5 people including a maximum of 2 adults, which offers approximately a 25% discount on the chosen show. The Grande Tablée Pass allows you to combine the convivial meal on Wednesday with the Quarantaines performance.
Visitors wishing to attend individual performances can also purchase tickets on a case-by-case basis. Shows presented at Le Vaisseau or under the big top start at €22 for full-price tickets, with reduced rates for those under 18, students, job seekers, and recipients of certain social welfare benefits. Outdoor performances also benefit from reduced pricing, allowing a wider audience to discover the richness of the program. Furthermore, travelers arriving by TER Nouvelle-Aquitaine train receive a 10% discount on the full-price ticket by presenting a valid TER ticket at the box office.
