No regrets? – A spectacular film-circus-concert blending contemporary circus, live music, and visual arts
What if everything ended tomorrow? What would you do with your last night? It is from this universal question that The Rat Pack Company conceived *Sans regrets?* (No Regrets?), a spectacular and moving creation that blends contemporary circus, live concert, immersive video, and visual theatre. Presented on October 2, 2026, at the Théâtre Antoine Watteau in Nogent-sur-Marne, this one-hour show invites the audience to experience an extraordinary sensory journey, where every second counts and the intensity of the present moment becomes the true guiding thread.
On stage, two characters with nothing in common see their lives turned upside down and embark on a frantic race against time. If this night were to be their last, how would they choose to live it? Between urgency, humor, vertigo, and emotion, they decide to push their limits in a series of acrobatic feats, dizzying lifts, impressive balances, and choreographed movements where the body becomes the primary means of expression. Each movement reflects their doubts, their hopes, their fears, and their irresistible desire to live life to the fullest until the very last moment.
The show is distinguished by its particularly original stagecraft, where artistic disciplines are in constant dialogue. Circus performances intertwine with a musical creation performed entirely live by Jérôme "Supa-Jay" Delorme, a member of the renowned Scratch Bandits Crew. With his turntables, scratching, and electronic compositions, he accompanies the artists' every movement, creating a vibrant soundtrack that evolves in rhythm with their emotions and acrobatics.
This musical dimension is complemented by an impressive video installation that constantly transforms the stage space. The projections metamorphose the set, blur the lines between reality and illusion, and immerse the audience in a cinematic universe where the images seem to converse with the performers. This fusion of video, music, and circus gives rise to what the company calls a true cinematic circus-concert, a hybrid form that profoundly renews the conventions of live performance.
Xavier Lavabre and Ann-Katrin Jornot, renowned circus artists, bring remarkable technical mastery and intense dramatic flair to this creation. Their close partnership fosters a relationship built on trust, confrontation, and solidarity, where every lift, every jump, and every balance tells a part of their story. The staging by Compagnie The Rat Pack, with guidance from Régis Truchy, constructs a powerful visual narrative where circus prowess is never gratuitous but always serves the story and the emotion.
Between poetry and adrenaline, humor and gravity, "Sans regrets?" (Without Regrets?) explores our relationship with time, our choices, and our ability to live without remorse. The show invites everyone to reflect on what truly matters when everything can end in an instant. This universal reflection is conveyed through a spectacular contemporary aesthetic that will appeal to circus enthusiasts as well as those passionate about music, film, and innovative stage productions.
Accessible to a wide audience, Sans regrets? offers a total immersion where aerial acrobatics, visual effects, live music and emotions constantly interact to offer a powerful, modern and profoundly human artistic experience.
