The circus workshops offered by La Carrière – École des Arts du Cirque are designed to allow children and teenagers to experience a true immersion in the world of circus arts during school holidays. Led by a team of qualified professional artists and instructors, these workshops offer a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where everyone can discover numerous circus disciplines, develop their creativity, gain confidence, and share a rich and emotionally engaging collective adventure.

Throughout the week, participants explore a wide variety of circus arts techniques. They are introduced to aerial disciplines such as trapeze, aerial silks, aerial hoop, and rope; discover the Chinese pole; practice ground acrobatics, partner acrobatics, mini-trampoline, and various balance disciplines like tightrope walking, slacklining, balance ball, rolla-bolla, stilts, and unicycle. Juggling also plays a significant role, with practice using balls, clubs, hoops, diabolo, spinning plates, and many other props. The sessions are complemented by expressive games, creative exercises, and activities that foster imagination, cooperation, and trust among the participants.

Beyond learning circus techniques, these workshops allow children to develop their motor skills, coordination, balance, concentration, artistic sense, and teamwork. Each activity is adapted to the age and skill level of the participants so that everyone can progress at their own pace, discover new sensations, and enjoy themselves in a friendly environment.

The internships are offered in several formats to adapt to the needs of families.

Morning workshops are available for children aged 5 and over. They run from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, with drop-off possible from 9:00 am. This program comprises 15 hours of activities spread from Monday to Friday and is offered at a price of €130.

The afternoon workshops, also open to children aged 5 and over, take place from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Supervision is provided until 5:30 pm, except on Fridays when it ends at 5:00 pm. This package includes 15 hours of activities for a fee of €130.

Full-day camps are available for children aged 6 and up. Activities run from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm, with drop-off from 9:00 am and after-school care until 5:30 pm (5:00 pm on Fridays). This program includes 30 hours of activities spread throughout the week and costs €220. Families should provide a packed lunch and afternoon snack for their child. Meals are eaten on-site under the supervision of the staff, and a refrigerator and microwave are available for use.

Participants should bring appropriate sportswear and everything else needed to fully enjoy the training camp. They are asked to bring comfortable sportswear, a water bottle, snacks for morning and afternoon breaks, thick socks, a pair of sneakers for activities requiring shoes such as stilt walking, unicycling, or Chinese pole, and thick jeans to be kept in their bag and worn only for Chinese pole activities.

At the end of each week, families are invited to attend two public presentations held on Fridays at 11:30 am and 4:00 pm. The two presentations are different and allow the trainees to showcase the results of their work, their progress, and the acts prepared during the week.

For families wishing to register for a course that is already full, La Carrière offers the option of submitting a request via the contact form to be placed on a waiting list. Depending on the number of requests, the school may also increase the number of available places.

Several sessions are scheduled during the summer of 2026:

Internship from July 27th to 31st, 2026
Aerial Arts/Chinese Pole/Acro-Dance Workshop for Teens from July 27th to 31st, 2026
Internship from August 17th to 21st, 2026
Internship from August 24th to 28th, 2026

Upon registration, families acknowledge having read and understood the terms and conditions of participation. In particular, they authorize the school to present their child to a doctor in case of an emergency requiring medical attention or surgery. For parent-child sessions, each participant must have their own insurance. Registration is only definitively confirmed upon receipt of payment, which must be made within one week of registration. Classes are taught exclusively by qualified professional artists. No refunds will be given, regardless of the reason (withdrawal, absence, illness, or accident).

Drop-off times are from 9:00 to 9:30, pick-up from 12:30 to 2:00 for children registered for the full day, and pick-up from 5:00 to 5:30 at the end of the day. Regarding attire, participants must wear socks or rhythmic gymnastics shoes; street shoes are not permitted in the studios. Long hair must be tied back, jewelry removed, chewing gum is prohibited, and cell phones are not allowed during activities.

These workshops offer an excellent opportunity to discover or deepen your knowledge of circus arts at a renowned school in the Pays de la Loire region. Through a teaching approach based on experimentation, creativity, and the joy of practicing together, children develop in a fully equipped space for aerial disciplines, acrobatics, balance, and juggling. Each week becomes an artistic adventure where everyone develops their confidence, independence, imagination, and appreciation for live performance, before sharing their discoveries with their families during the end-of-camp performances.
