Take your aerial hoop skills to new heights and perfect them at workshops led by Célia Duriez, a certified instructor specializing in aerial arts. Held in Balma, near Toulouse, these two intensive weekends on August 22nd & 23rd and August 29th & 30th, 2026, are designed for practitioners wishing to develop their technique, strength, fluidity, and artistic expression in a friendly yet challenging environment.

Trained at the Princess Grace Academy in Monaco and the Lyon Conservatory, Célia Duriez pursued an international career as a dancer on cruise ships and in cabarets before specializing in aerial disciplines. Since 2015, she has practiced and taught aerial hoop, silks, aerial hammock, pole dance, and other apparatus, while building an impressive national and international record. Among her many achievements are several PSF championship titles, gold medals at the IPSF and POSA World Championships, and a bronze medal at the 2025 IPSF World Championships in Elite Solo Sport Hoop.

Each weekend consists of several complementary workshops allowing participants to explore different aspects of aerial hoop. Participants can choose one or more workshops according to their objectives or opt for a pass to enjoy a full weekend of training.

Program for August 22nd and 23rd, 2026

The Dynamic Hoop workshop (3 hours) focuses on movement, releases, rolls, dynamic transitions, and sequences to improve fluidity and confidence. Accessible from Beginner 2 level, it forms the technical foundation for the weekend.

The Strong Hoop course (1 hour 30 minutes) develops strength specific to aerial hoop through progressive work on strength figures and physical conditioning exercises designed to improve power, stability and control.

The Spin Combo Hoop workshop (1.5 hours) allows participants to work on spin-inducing lifts, rotating figures, smooth transitions, and combinations while maintaining rotation and control. Those unfamiliar with spinning are advised to bring anti-nausea medication.

The Hoop Strop workshop (1.5 hours) focuses on figures using the sling as a support point. Participants will discover foot locks, wrist twists, tension techniques, and the various possibilities offered by working at height. Appropriate clothing is recommended to minimize chafing.

The Hoop Flex workshop (1.5 hours) is dedicated to developing flexibility in aerial hoop. Participants progressively explore back poses, splits, and various flexibility positions to improve range of motion, comfort, and execution.
