Freestyle unicycle training camp in Brumath with world champions Mayuko Kogi and Shuhei Kawai

The Brumath freestyle unicycle camp returns on August 22nd and 23rd, 2026 for an exceptional weekend focused on skill development, sharing, and international interaction. Organized by Les Troub, this camp will bring together two leading figures in the world of freestyle unicycling: Mayuko Kogi and Shuhei Kawai, both world champions coming especially from Japan to share their expertise with the French participants.

Over these two days, participants will have the opportunity to refine their technique, precision, fluidity, and artistic expression through workshops led by two of the best athletes in their respective disciplines. The program will cover the fundamentals of freestyle as well as more advanced moves, with personalized guidance from the instructors. Participants will also discover training methods used at the highest international level and benefit from support tailored to their individual progress.

The course is open to unicyclists with a minimum skill level that allows them to participate comfortably. Organizers require participants to be able to ride smoothly, mount their unicycle independently, ride backward, and ride with one foot. Once these prerequisites are met, all levels are welcome, from beginners looking to solidify their fundamentals to experienced riders eager to refine their technique and expand their repertoire.

The guest instructors are among the world's leading figures in the discipline. Mayuko Kogi, from Japan, is the world champion in Pair & Group freestyle and the world runner-up in Solo freestyle. Her style combines elegance, technical precision, and choreographic creativity. Alongside her is Shuhei Kawai, also Japanese, the world champion in X-Style freestyle, a spectacular category blending technical skill, originality, and personal expression. Their presence offers a rare opportunity for European practitioners to receive instruction directly from world champions.

To facilitate communication between the Japanese speakers and the French-speaking participants, French/English translators will be present throughout the workshop. This will allow everyone to fully benefit from the technical explanations, ask questions, and interact with the artists without any language barrier.

As the number of places is intentionally limited to ensure quality support and individualized guidance, the organizers recommend registering early. Pre-registration is done directly by email to the Les Troub association.

The course fee is set at €130, with a preferential rate of €110 reserved for members of the association Les Troub.

Beyond technical learning, this weekend will also be a special opportunity for unicycle enthusiasts to meet.
