2026 Women's Acrobatic Lifts Convention – Project.PDF at La Cascade (Bourg-Saint-Andéol, Ardèche)

The 2026 Women's Acrobatic Lifts Convention, organized by Projet.PDF and hosted by La Cascade – National Circus Center in Bourg-Saint-Andéol, is a professional gathering dedicated to artists practicing acrobatic lifts within a framework of chosen gender equality. For five days, from October 5th to 9th, 2026, this convention offers a unique space for practice, experimentation, exchange, and knowledge sharing among artists who share a common desire to develop their discipline.

Since its inception, Projet.PDF has been working to create meeting spaces where participants can practice acrobatic lifts in a supportive, inclusive, and stimulating environment. Each person arrives with their own background, level of experience, and desires, contributing to a rich and varied collective practice.

Throughout the week, participants explore numerous partner acrobatics techniques such as three-person columns, the banquine, Icarian games, as well as various research, creation, and experimentation workshops. The days are also punctuated by challenges, group projects, and improvisation sessions, allowing everyone to enrich their circus practice.

The educational approach developed by Projet.PDF is not limited to physical work. The group places great importance on the human aspects of the interaction. The days often begin with games that foster trust, active listening, and group cohesion. Each participant is free to progress at their own pace, to experiment, to propose ideas, to initiate discussions, or simply to practice as much as they wish.

This convention thus constitutes a true research laboratory around acrobatic lifts, where cooperation, the pleasure of movement, the sharing of experiences and creativity occupy a central place.

The event is reserved for women, gender minorities, and anyone perceived or identifying as such. It is aimed at practitioners with prior experience in acrobatic lifts, with the prerequisites being regular practice and mastery of at least one technique from among three-person columns, banquine, or Icarian games.

Participation is entirely free, but prior registration is required. Places are limited to 50 participants, and a lottery will be held if the number of applications exceeds capacity. Registration is open until June 15, 2026.

Participants can stay in shared rooms directly at La Cascade, subject to availability. A communal kitchen is also available to facilitate meal preparation throughout the week.

Located in Bourg-Saint-Andéol, La Cascade – Pôle National Cirque is one of fifteen National Circus Centers in France. This leading venue supports the creation, training, transmission and development of professional circus artists throughout the year, hosting numerous residencies, workshops and professional meetings.
