We will soon be opening a tutorials section where you will find videos dedicated to learning different circus disciplines. While waiting for the opening of this section, each week we will offer a new tutorial video dedicated to the diabolo.

Tutorial trailer:

Twenty free tutorials on the diabolo theme to learn all the basics of the discipline. On all of the tutorials, in order to see the actions well, we used a string that is 4 or 5 times the diameter of a normal diabolo string. The videos are produced by Raphael CAPUTO (Metlili). Tutorial 1 - get started with a diabolo:

In this video you will learn how to change the string of your diabolo. We also explain the difference between a diabolo equipped with a fixed axis and one equipped with bearings with a few simple examples.

Tutorial 2 - Speed up your diabolo and stabilize it:

In this video, you will learn how to speed up your diabolo. We also explain how to stabilize it. This tutorial is intended for beginners and these are the first two things to learn when starting the diabolo discipline.

Tutorial 3 - Throwing and catching your diabolo:

In this video, you will learn how to throw your diabolo and then catch it. To practice this tutorial, you will need to know how to speed up your diabolo. This tutorial is for beginners and it's one of the first things to learn which is really fun!

Tutorial 4 - Making slides with a diabolo:

In this video, you will learn how to make slides with your diabolo on the handsticks and on the fingers. To practice this tutorial, you will need to know how to speed up your diabolo. This tutorial is for beginners. This trick is one of the first things you can learn with a diabolo! A large ball bearing diabolo is used in this video: the Hurricane.

Tutorial 5 - Arm satellite:

In this video, you will learn how to make a satellite around your arm with your diabolo. It is a trick which consists in throwing your diabolo and catching it above the arm. To practice this tutorial, you must already know how to speed up your diabolo and know how to throw it and catch it. This tutorial is for beginners. Tutorial 6 - Make your diabolo do a 360 °:

In this video, you will learn how to rotate your diabolo on itself on the string. . This trick can be used for a visual effect, but it can also be used for you to pass your diabolo in vertax. To practice this tutorial, you will need to know how to give your diabolo a lot of speed. This tutorial is for beginners. A large ball bearing diabolo is used in this video: the Hurricane.

Tutorial 7 - The swing:

In this video, you will learn how to do the swing. The diabolo is blocked by making a knot around it close to a handstick which will be used to wedge the diabolo. You can then swing it from side to side. This trick can then be diverted and used as a basis for the realization of other tricks.

To practice this tutorial, you must already know how to speed up your diabolo and know how to throw it and catch it.

Tutorial 8 - The Roller Coaster:

In this video, you will learn how to do the Roller Coaster. The diabolo spins several times around the arm, while remaining on the string.

To practice this tutorial, you must already know how to speed up your diabolo and how to do the satellite of the arm (see NetJuggler's tutorial 5).

Tutorial 9 - The Eiffel Tower:

In this video, you will learn how to make the Eiffel Tower. This is a trick where the strings and handsticks draw an Eiffel Tower.

To practice this tutorial, you will need to know how to speed up your diabolo.
