Aerial Wings is a school specializing in aerial acrobatics, located in the Dúbravka district of Bratislava, Slovakia. It offers regular training for children and young practitioners, from discovering the apparatus to preparing for high-level competitions.

The school develops an approach combining acrobatic technique , physical preparation , artistic expression and choreographic work .

Three main aerial disciplines

Aerial Wings instruction is based on three apparatus .

The aerial hoop , also called aerial hoop or lyra , allows students to perform static and dynamic figures on a suspended ring. Students develop their strength, coordination, and precision.

Aerial silks allows you to work on climbs, suspended positions, and acrobatic sequences. Practicing it requires strength, flexibility, and movement control.

The aerial hammock , or aerial hammock , is a fabric suspended in a loop shape. It allows you to explore aerial positions and movements with support that differs from that of traditional fabrics.

These three disciplines constitute the school's specialty .

Courses adapted to several levels

Aerial Wings organizes its courses into different groups, according to the age of the participants, their experience and the equipment used.

Beginner groups allow participants to discover the first figures and acquire the basic techniques.

More experienced students can join advanced training sessions , with progressively more demanding exercises.

The teaching also includes gymnastic preparation activities, designed to develop the physical qualities necessary for aerial acrobatics.

Technical and artistic progression

The training sessions allow students to develop their muscular strength, mobility, balance, and coordination.

They learn to master aerial positions and combine them in sequences.

The artistic dimension also plays an important role. Students work on their physical expression and movement memory when preparing choreographies.

The goal is to combine technical mastery with fluidity and quality of presentation .

A competitive section: Elite

Aerial Wings has an advanced group called Elite , intended for young acrobats selected for their technical level.

This program includes six hours of training per week , spread over three sessions.

The participants are preparing for national and international aerial acrobatics competitions, as well as high-level performances.

Integration into this group requires the agreement of the head coach, Alexandra Machovičová .

This is a competitive sports preparation program, not a higher education diploma program for circus professions.

A team drawn from gymnastics and acrobatics

Coach Alexandra Machovičová has experience in several sports disciplines, including gymnastics, trampoline and acrobatic rock.

She then specialized in aerial acrobatics, and more specifically in aerial hoop.

She is also a certified national judge with the POSA federation.

This experience contributes to the technical and competitive orientation of the school.

Shows and performances

Aerial Wings offers performances allowing students to showcase their progress in front of an audience.

The groups participate in end-of-year shows, as well as cultural events and competitions.

The school notably presented aerial acts at variety shows and participated in several championships in 2026 .

These experiences allow students to discover the demands of the stage and develop their artistic presence.

Additional training sessions and workshops

In addition to regular courses, Aerial Wings organizes training camps and meetings.

These activities allow students to deepen their practice, meet other young acrobats and work on collective projects.

The school also participates in collaborations with other structures specializing in aerial acrobatics.

Specialized training in aerial disciplines

Aerial Wings distinguishes itself from multidisciplinary circus schools by its specialization in three apparatus : hoop, silks and aerial hammock.

She does not have a regular program of juggling, unicycling, or balancing on objects.

His teaching is aimed primarily at children and young people wishing to discover aerial acrobatics or progress towards an advanced practice.
