ArtMotion is a school specializing in aerial arts, located in the Biskupice district of Trenčín, Slovakia. Founded and directed by Kristína Pašková , this school offers aerial silks and aerial hoop instruction for children, teenagers, and adults. Its teaching approach combines acrobatic techniques, gymnastics fundamentals, and artistic expression in an environment that prioritizes safety, individual progress, and the enjoyment of the activity.

The school welcomes both those discovering aerial disciplines for the first time and those with prior sports or acrobatic experience. No prior knowledge of gymnastics is necessary to begin classes.

The subjects taught

Aerial silks is one of the two main disciplines taught at ArtMotion. This iconic apparatus of contemporary circus consists of two long strips of fabric suspended high above, on which practitioners perform climbs, rolls, static figures, suspensions and acrobatic sequences.

Students gradually learn climbing techniques, different types of knots and positions, as well as transitions between moves. Instruction also covers controlled falls and the creation of short choreographic sequences. This discipline develops strength, flexibility, coordination, and body control in space.

Aerial hoop is the school's second specialty. This circus discipline is practiced on a suspended metal ring, also known as an aerial lyre. Classes allow students to discover the various techniques for entering the hoop, acrobatic positions, balances, transitions, and choreographic sequences.

Aerial hoop practice particularly demands muscular strength, stability, coordination, and flexibility. It also offers numerous possibilities for artistic expression through the combination of acrobatic movements and fluid gestures.

Courses adapted to different age groups

ArtMotion organizes its teaching around three main groups , in order to offer learning adapted to the age and abilities of the participants.

Aerial Kids – Children aged 8 to 12

The children's classes provide a first introduction to aerial acrobatics. Young participants discover the basics of aerial silks and aerial hoop within the same program.

The sessions allow children to progressively develop coordination, strength, flexibility, self-confidence, and body awareness. Learning the first movements and fundamental positions prepares children for possible progression to adolescent groups.

The groups accommodate up to ten children , in order to maintain an environment suitable for learning.

Juniors – Teenagers aged 13 to 18

Teenagers can choose to specialize in aerial silks or aerial hoop. Classes are organized in small groups of no more than five participants , allowing for more individualized instruction.

Each student has their own apparatus during the session, which promotes repetition of movements and practice time. The hoops are adapted to the size of the participants.

The training allows students to deepen their technical fundamentals, develop the physical qualities necessary for aerial acrobatics, and progress towards more elaborate figures and sequences.

Adults – 18 years and older

Adult classes are open to beginners, including people with no prior experience in gymnastics or circus arts.

As with the teenagers, participants choose between aerial silks and aerial hoop. Groups are limited to five people , with each participant having their own apparatus.

The sessions combine technical discovery, muscle strengthening, flexibility work and progressive learning of acrobatic figures.

A teaching method based on gymnastics and aerial arts

ArtMotion's teaching is provided by its founder, Kristína Pašková , a certified first-level coach in artistic gymnastics.

She has over ten years of experience in gymnastics and over five years of experience teaching aerial acrobatics .

Her background includes competitive gymnastics at the GK Pavlo club in Trenčín, as well as more than five years of teaching at AcrobatiX in Bratislava.

This experience allows him to combine the fundamentals of artistic gymnastics with the specific techniques of aerial apparatus. His approach places particular emphasis on the quality of execution, the understanding of movements, and the safety of the participants.

The educational objective is to allow everyone to progress at their own pace, in an encouraging environment where perseverance, mutual support and trust play an important role.

Facilities adapted to aerial disciplines

The studio has five suspension points allowing for the installation of aerial silks and aerial hoop apparatus.

Organizing classes in small groups offers participants individualized practice time. This allows students to dedicate more time to repeating moves and improving their technique.

The school offers regular sessions as well as private lessons upon request. Facility rental may also be possible, subject to availability and conditions agreed upon with the school.

An artistic and community dimension

Beyond technical learning, ArtMotion wants to develop a community united around the passion for aerial acrobatics.

Aerial silks and hoops allow for a combination of physical performance with genuine aesthetic exploration. Figures, transitions, and sequences can be integrated into choreographic compositions, fostering creativity and personal expression.

The school encourages its participants to gradually push their limits, develop their confidence and discover the possibilities offered by aerial disciplines.

This approach is part of the world of contemporary circus arts, where mastery of apparatus, physical expression and artistic creativity complement each other.

ArtMotion, a place to learn aerial arts in Slovakia

Based in Trenčín, ArtMotion helps make aerial disciplines accessible to a diverse audience, from children discovering the apparatus to adults wishing to develop a new physical and artistic practice.

Thanks to its specialized teaching, small group sizes and the experience of its founder, the school offers a structured framework to discover and deepen your knowledge of aerial silks and aerial hoop.
