Artichoke – Introduction to Circus Arts

Artichouette is a young association based in Boussac-Bourg , in the northeast of Creuse . Created in 2026, its objective is to participate in the life of the rural area by developing activities and events in the artistic, cultural, social and environmental fields.

Circus arts are one of its first regular activities. Since September 2026, the association has been offering introductory circus workshops in Boussac-Bourg for children aged 4 to 12 .

The sessions take place every Saturday morning and allow children to discover three major families of circus arts: balancing , acrobatics and juggling .

The primary objective is to offer an accessible and fun introduction to circus arts. Children can experience different situations that require dexterity, balance, coordination, and body control.

In addition to these regular meetings, Artichouette develops workshops during school holidays . Workshops organized in Nouzerines offer formats adapted to different age groups, with sessions for 4-6 year olds and 7-11 year olds .

The association also develops a family-oriented circus practice . Some workshops are accessible from age 3 and allow children and adults to participate together in a session focused on juggling, balancing, and acrobatics.

This family dimension corresponds to Artichouette's more general project, which aims to create activities and events that promote encounters and exchanges between the inhabitants of the territory.

Despite its very recent creation, the association is developing a genuine program for discovering circus arts in the Boussac area. Between weekly workshops, holiday camps and family sessions, Artichouette helps make circus arts accessible to children and families in a rural area of the Creuse.
