Au Chapit'Ô is an association dedicated to circus arts , artistic practices and well-being , located in Campan in the Hautes-Pyrénées.

Created in 2024 , it is developing a local space intended to bring together on one site artistic teaching, cultural activities, wellness practices, environmental awareness and moments of meeting.

Circus arts, the main focus of the project

Circus arts constitute one of the main focuses of the project.

Au Chapit'Ô aims to transmit and promote circus arts to diverse audiences, both children and adults . Activities may take the form of regular classes , workshops , or one-off events .

The project is not limited to traditional circus techniques. The association also aims to create bridges with street arts and various artistic practices that can enrich circus creation.

Choreography, makeup, painting or video can thus be associated with circus arts depending on the projects and the participants.

This approach allows us to consider the circus not only as a physical and technical practice, but also as a means of expression and creation .

Participants can discover different disciplines, gradually develop their skills and participate in projects combining several artistic forms.

Diverse audiences

Au Chapit'Ô caters to both children and adults .

Transmission can be organised within the framework of regular practice but also in the form of internships , allowing one to discover a discipline or to deepen it over a more concentrated period.

A place for meeting and sharing

The association project also places great importance on meetings and sharing .

Au Chapit'Ô was conceived as a cultural , social and educational place where practitioners, residents, stakeholders and artists can meet.

The association thus wishes to contribute to the cultural life of Campan and more broadly of the Hautes-Pyrénées .

This location in the Campan valley gives the project a particularly strong local and rural dimension.

Well-being and body practices

Beyond circus arts, Au Chapit'Ô develops various activities dedicated to well-being .

Yoga and stretching can be offered in the form of classes or workshops.

Other practices such as sophrology , relaxation , reiki or dance therapy can also find their place in the programming.

The goal is to bring together artistic, physical and wellness activities in a single project rather than compartmentalizing the different practices.

The association also plans to be able to accommodate other complementary disciplines, including martial arts .

This openness allows the venue to evolve according to the encounters, stakeholders and projects developed over the seasons.

Environmental awareness

Raising awareness about the environment is another aspect of the project.

The association wishes to incorporate its activities into an eco-responsible approach and to take advantage of its rural location to develop actions that raise awareness among participants about their environment.

Au Chapit'Ô is thus defined as a place that goes beyond the framework of a simple leisure school.

The teaching of circus arts remains one of its foundations, but it is integrated into a larger project combining culture , physical practices , well-being , environment and local life .

A young, developing association

The association, which was recently created, is gradually developing its activity and its presence in Campan.

It provides a new opportunity to practice circus arts in the Hautes-Pyrénées, for both children and adults, through regular classes , workshops and artistic projects .

Its desire to bring together circus arts , street arts , creation , well-being and environmental awareness gives Au Chapit'Ô a particular identity, conceived as a space for practice but also as a place for meeting and sharing.
