The association Ça Cirkule , formerly known as Circambulle , has existed since 2001. Its history began in the Couserans region of Ariège, before its activities gradually shifted to the Toulouse metropolitan area. Since January 2010, the association has primarily operated in this region, enabling a wide audience to discover and practice circus arts. It is currently based in Cugnaux , southwest of Toulouse, where its regular classes are held at the Léo Lagrange Gymnasium, Chemin du Chioulet .
Ça Cirkule is affiliated with the FFEC and belongs to the FREC Midi-Pyrénées. Its presence within the federation's network goes beyond mere affiliation: the school regularly participates in regional and national competitions. It was notably present at the 2025 National Meetings and the 2026 Regional Meetings. In 2024, a juggling act entitled Haaa! represented Ça Cirkule at the national meetings.
The association defines its project around the promotion of circus arts in all their forms and live performance. It offers:
Its "all-terrain" operation is particularly important: Ça Cirkule has a regular activity in Cugnaux but also travels to schools, municipalities, leisure centers and other structures wishing to develop a project around the circus.
The school is currently experiencing high attendance. Its 2025 activity report indicates approximately 200 members in Cugnaux and nearly 300 people including workshop participants. Weekly classes were all full, from 4-year-olds to adults, with particularly strong demand for adult aerial arts classes. The association also estimates that it introduced circus arts to over 600 participants through its various projects in 2025.
The teaching is based on the major traditional families of circus arts. Juggling is an integral part of the school's identity, alongside the other disciplines:
Advanced training courses may cover topics such as ground acrobatics, lifts, passing, movement in juggling, or even acting.
Aerial disciplines now occupy a particularly important place thanks to the partnership with Cirque Korkoro . The Ça Cirkule website explicitly mentions the following apparatus:
For the 2026-2027 season, specific courses are offered to teenagers and adults from 16 years old , with a beginner/intermediate level and an intermediate/advanced level.
The progression begins with the Fireflies at age 4, then continues with:
From middle school onwards, young people can join the Éclaires group or the Troupe Ados , the latter offering three hours of practice per week. Adults, meanwhile, have access to a " multi-circus " class, specialized aerial classes, and open practice sessions.
Ça Cirkule also develops a genuine work of stage creation. The Creation group is open to pre-teens, teenagers and adults with at least one year of experience. It works on what the association presents as the "fifth technique of the circus": play .
Stage presence, character creation, theatricality, relationship to object, body and space complement the circus technique chosen by each participant.
This group doesn't work solely with an internal performance in mind. Participants commit to presenting their work at external events such as festivals, carnivals, and circus performances, as well as at the end-of-year show, aiming for at least four performances throughout the year. This approach allows them to connect technical training, creative expression, and genuine stage experience.
Holiday camps are another important component of the project. Children aged 4 to 7 generally participate in morning camps, while children aged 8 and over benefit from longer afternoon sessions.
The objective goes beyond simple technical training: these skills are developed through exercises and fun role-playing scenarios. The weeks culminate in the presentation of short acts, allowing participants to experience performing for an audience.
Advanced training courses for teenagers and adults are also organized, particularly on weekends. They may focus on a specific technique or theme: ground acrobatics, lifts, passing, movement applied to juggling, or acting.
For the All Saints' Day holidays 2026, Ça Cirkule is already announcing a course for teenagers from 12 years old from October 19 to 21, 2026 , then a course for children from 4 years old from October 26 to 30, 2026 .
Outdoor activities are also very well developed. Ça Cirkule can work with municipalities, schools, works councils, leisure centers, and other organizations. Programs range from one-off introductions to various circus families to multi-session introductory workshops and year-long projects.
In schools, the team develops the project in collaboration with the institution to meet the established educational objectives: end-of-year performance, physical exploration, physical and theatrical expression, or a unit dedicated to circus arts. The association also offers circus workshops for babies and explicitly mentions in its organizational documents the development of adapted circus programs in specialized settings.
The teaching approach places a strong emphasis on body control, agility, balance, creativity, and experimentation. The core team includes Stéphane and Olivier , both holders of the BIAC – Brevet d'Initiateur aux Arts du Cirque (Circus Arts Instructor Certificate), as well as qualifications in the field of youth work such as BAFA , BPJEPS , or BEATEP .
This dimension helps to establish Ça Cirkule in the transmission not only to students, but also to future professionals or stakeholders in the sector.
According to the NetJuggler directory, Ça Cirkule is a particularly interesting school to list in the Toulouse metropolitan area: it combines amateur practice from age 4, adult classes, juggling, acrobatics, aerial specialization, stage creation, workshops, school programs, adapted circus arts, and participation in national federation events. Its sustained activity and approximately 200 regular members make it an important organization in the Cugnaux area.
