Circoliamo is an association and school dedicated to contemporary circus arts located in Como , Lombardy.

Founded in 2018 , the association has been developing projects since its inception around training in circus arts , recreational and educational circus , artistic research and the dissemination of circus culture .

The year 2025 marks an important milestone in its development with the opening of its own " Casa del Circo " in Como.

Located on Via Mariano Tentorio , this new space allows Circoliamo to bring together in one place its classes , training sessions , workshops and some of its artistic projects .

The room is specifically equipped for circus arts .

Today it welcomes children from the age of three , teenagers and adults .

The progress of the youngest

The progression begins with courses adapted for the youngest participants.

At three years old , the approach naturally favours the discovery of the body , play and early motor experiences .

The groups then evolve gradually according to age.

Four and five year old children continue this discovery through a playful approach to the different circus families .

From the age of six , the courses gradually become more technical .

Circoliamo nevertheless chooses to maintain a multidisciplinary approach up to adolescence.

This approach allows children to avoid specializing too early .

They discover several ways of practicing circus arts and can develop very different skills.

Various disciplines

Ground acrobatics is one of the key aspects of this training.

It allows you to work on strength , mobility , coordination and body awareness .

Aerial disciplines are also integrated into the courses.

They allow us to discover a different relationship to the body , to space and to height .

Juggling develops coordination , precision and concentration .

Balancing teaches you to manage instability and to constantly adapt your body position.

This technical diversity is an essential characteristic of the school.

The 11-15 year old journey

For 11-15 year olds , the multidisciplinary approach continues but gains in depth .

Young people are encouraged to explore different disciplines in greater depth.

Technical work is associated with a progressive search for autonomy in training .

Creativity is also taking up more space.

Circoliamo thus seeks to transform technical challenges into opportunities for personal development within the group.

Teenagers are exploring new possibilities in ground acrobatics .

They delve deeper into aerial disciplines .

They also develop their skills in balancing and juggling .

This technical progress remains linked to a collective approach.

The goal is not simply to successfully perform a trick.

The student gradually learns to understand their training and to build a more autonomous practice.

From age sixteen: a diverse range of options

From the age of sixteen , the offer becomes even more diversified.

Older teenagers and adults can choose from different specialist courses .

Aerial acrobatics is one of the main courses.

Circoliamo makes particular use of fabrics and the trapeze .

Practitioners work on physical preparation , ascents , descents , acrobatic movements and transitions in suspension .

Several levels allow the practice to be adapted to the experience.

The basic level welcomes people discovering aerial disciplines or wishing to consolidate their fundamentals.

The intermediate level is aimed at practitioners who already have more autonomy at height.

Vertical courses also have their own teaching methods.

This discipline allows you to develop positioning , strength , control and body awareness through work on the hands.

Acrobalance is another specialty.

It introduces teamwork and simultaneously develops technique , communication and trust .

Ground acrobatics complete this offering.

Circoliamo also offers a course specifically dedicated to balancing and juggling .

It allows practitioners to further develop these two major families of circus arts.

On the contrary, a Circo 360 course offers a more cross-cutting approach.

This organization is particularly interesting for adults .

A person wishing to discover several techniques can maintain a multidisciplinary practice.

Another can gradually deepen their knowledge of a specialty .

The school thus retains the generalist spirit of the circus while allowing for more targeted technical progression.

Workshops and internships

Additional time slots are offered throughout the year.

Circoliamo organizes workshops , among other things.

These internships allow you to delve deeper into a particular discipline with specialized teachers or artists.

The workshops are considered complementary to regular classes and the training area.

They can take the form of intensive appointments or courses that are repeated several times during the year .

Their goal is also to introduce students to the world of contemporary circus .

Circoliamo seeks to create exchanges with local, national and international circus artists and structures.

Juggling workshops are thus organized.

Verticals can also be the subject of specialized workshops.

This openness prevents the school from operating in isolation .

It allows students to encounter other technical and artistic approaches .

Self-directed training

Training is another important dimension.

The opportunity to continue practicing beyond the supervised course allows more experienced students to gradually develop their autonomy .

This logic corresponds directly to the philosophy displayed in adolescent pathways.

Learning how to train gradually becomes a skill in its own right .

Summer get-togethers and family activities

Circoliamo also organizes summer events .

In 2026 , the EXTRA program, for example, allowed practice to continue during the months of June and July .

Aerial acrobatics , Circo 360 , verticals , acrobalance , balancing , juggling and acrobatics were on the program.

The school also offers a summer center for children.

“ Una Más ” welcomes children aged 6–11 in particular.

The days allow participants to practice and experiment with different circus disciplines.

The center is also accessible to children who are not yet familiar with this world.

It therefore simultaneously constitutes a training space for students and a gateway for new practitioners.

Family practice is also part of the project.

Circus Family allows children and adults to share a circus experience.

The objective is therefore less individual technical progress than collective discovery .

This dimension aligns well with Circoliamo's desire to build a true community around the circus .

The educational dimension

The educational dimension is particularly important in the identity of the association.

Circoliamo explicitly defines itself as a structure working in the field of recreational and educational circus .

In particular, she is developing the " Circo a Scuola " project.

This organization uses circus arts as an educational tool within schools.

The approach allows for working on certain aspects of school curricula.

It also allows intervention in the relational dynamics of a class group.

The circus then becomes a tool for working differently .

Technology is no longer the sole end in itself.

It serves as a support for learning , cooperation and collective experience .

Other projects are still exploring the educational possibilities of the circus.

“ Circo tra le righe ” for example creates encounters between literature , imagination and the circus world .

The association thus seeks to build bridges between different forms of culture.

This openness is an important part of its identity.

A territorial network centered around the circus

Circoliamo is also working on creating a territorial network around the circus.

The association considers its community to be one of the driving forces behind its projects.

This territorial dimension was reinforced with the opening of its permanent space in 2025 .

La Casa del Circo now gives the community a true meeting place .

The room includes an equipped practice area .

A waiting area is available for students to wait before classes.

The venue was designed to become identifiable as a true circus home in Como.

Creation and stage

Creation and performance also occupy a place in the students' learning path.

Each year, the different groups present their work.

In 2026 , student performances included aerial acrobatics , Circo 360 , children's groups , balancing , juggling and adult groups .

These presentations allow the learning acquired during the year to be transformed into proposals intended for the public .

The scene introduces new challenges.

Students learn how to create a presentation .

They discover the relationship with the public .

They are experiencing the collective dimension of a performance.

This link between technical learning , creativity and public presentation reinforces the artistic dimension of the school.

An amateur and cultural school

However, Circoliamo does not present itself as a higher professional school .

Its main objective remains training in circus arts within an amateur , educational and cultural framework.

Practitioners can reach advanced levels .

They can benefit from workshops and develop genuine training autonomy .

However, the information currently published does not describe a selective curriculum specifically designed to prepare for entry into vocational schools.

It is therefore preferable to classify Circoliamo among amateur schools while highlighting the richness of its history.

The 2026-2027 season

The 2026-2027 season confirms the development of the structure.

A full program has been published.

Classes for 3-15 year olds will resume from September 21, 2026 .

Different age groups have access to tailored programs.

Adolescents can pursue in-depth multidisciplinary practice.

Adults have several specialized disciplines at their disposal.

This continuity between early childhood , adolescence and adulthood is an important strength.

A person can discover the circus at a very young age and continue to practice in the same structure for many years.

Circoliamo thus represents today one of the structured circus spaces in the city of Como.

His project combines teaching , training , discovery , creation , internships , school activities and the dissemination of contemporary circus culture .

The creation of its own Casa del Circo now gives it a permanent presence .

For the NetJuggler directory, Circoliamo is therefore a particularly relevant school: multidisciplinary , open to almost all ages, strongly committed to educational circus and capable of accompanying practitioners from their first discoveries to a much more autonomous technical and artistic practice.
