The Brindas Youth and Culture Center (MJC) offers weekly circus arts workshops for children aged 3 to 11. Juggling, balancing, acrobatics, and expressive games allow children to discover different facets of the circus while developing coordination, creativity, self-confidence, and body control. Two groups are offered: an introductory group for 3-6 year olds and a discovery group for 7-11 year olds.
The MJC of Brindas, in the Rhône, has been offering a new weekly activity dedicated to circus arts for children aged 3 to 11 since the 2026-2027 season.
The activity is organized into two groups in order to adapt the learning to the age and development of the children. An early learning workshop welcomes 3-6 year olds while a discovery group is intended for children aged 7 to 11 .
The sessions allow children to experience several major branches of circus arts. They discover, in particular, juggling , balancing , and acrobatics .
Expressive games complement the physical and technical practice. They allow the artistic dimension of the circus to be explored and give space to each child's imagination and creativity .
For younger children, the introductory workshop provides a first approach to the world of circus arts. The exercises are adapted to their age and allow them to gradually experience different situations that require balance , coordination and body control .
The introductory group then allows older children to continue this exploration through longer sessions. The different disciplines become tools for developing their physical and artistic abilities.
The MJC (Youth and Culture Center) presents circus arts as an activity that helps develop balance , coordination , creativity , and self-confidence . Learning takes place in a friendly and supportive atmosphere where children can progress while enjoying themselves.
The classes are led by Lauriane D'Angelo and take place every Wednesday .

This activity is part of the larger project of the MJC of Brindas. Created in 1990 and approved by Jeunesse et Éducation Populaire , the association develops numerous cultural, artistic and sporting activities and seeks to promote autonomy , personal development , access to culture and social links .
The Circus Arts workshop thus offers a new opportunity to regularly practice circus arts in Brindas. Although it is not an independent circus school , classes are offered throughout the season and provide children with a structured and progressive introduction to several major circus disciplines.
