Circus School – Herbeys Community Center

The Circus School of the Maison Pour Tous in Herbeys , Isère, offers weekly circus arts practice for children and teenagers.

The activity is developed in partnership with the association Les Agrès du Vent and benefits from the supervision of qualified instructors. This collaboration allows the Maison Pour Tous to offer genuine, regular circus training as part of its community programming.

The school welcomes children from the age of 3 and allows them to continue practicing until adolescence . Participants are divided into several groups according to their age but also their abilities.

This organization allows learning to be adapted to each child's abilities and progress. Schedules can also be adjusted when necessary to create coherent groups.

For younger children, the sessions provide a first introduction to the world of the circus and gradually allow them to develop motor skills , coordination and body control .

Older children can then continue their progression within the different groups and deepen their practice over the years.

Teenagers benefit from a specific two-hour time slot, allowing them more time to practice and develop their skills.

The activity also has a public presentation dimension. The school's students participate in events organized by the Maison Pour Tous (Community Center) and the municipality.

The teenagers thus had the opportunity to present a demonstration using flaming torches during a community event, showing a practice that can evolve towards more advanced techniques for experienced practitioners.

A festival dedicated in particular to the circus is also organised by the Maison Pour Tous at the end of the season, allowing to value the practice of the participants and to introduce the activity to the inhabitants.

The Circus School is part of the overall project of the Maison Pour Tous d'Herbeys , a local association offering numerous cultural, artistic, sporting and leisure activities.

With six age and level groups , a practice accessible from age 3 , a specific slot for teenagers and supervision provided in partnership with Les Agrès du Vent , the Circus School of the MPT d'Herbeys constitutes a structured offer of amateur practice of circus arts in Isère.
