The Maison Pour Tous in Ville-d'Avray , in the Hauts-de-Seine, offers weekly workshops dedicated to the discovery and practice of circus arts for children aged 4 to 10 .

Participants are divided into several groups according to their age in order to offer a progression adapted to their development. The youngest, aged 4 to 5 , receive an initial introduction to circus arts, while the 6-7 year olds and the 8-10 year olds can gradually deepen their knowledge of the different techniques.

The teaching is multidisciplinary and is organized around several major families of circus arts: acrobatics , object balancing , juggling and body expression .

Acrobatics allows children to explore the possibilities of their bodies and to gradually develop their coordination , mobility and body control .

Balancing on objects offers other situations in which participants must find their supports, adapt their posture and learn to control their movements.

Juggling, for its part, helps develop dexterity , coordination , and an understanding of objects. Combined with other disciplines, it offers children a diverse introduction to the world of circus arts.

Body expression complements these technical skills and brings a true artistic dimension to the activity. Children are encouraged to use their bodies as a means of expression and to develop their creativity .

The workshop's pedagogy places particular emphasis on creativity , initiative , and the joy of doing . Children are encouraged to experiment and find their own solutions rather than simply reproducing exercises.

Practice also allows one to work on pushing their limits . Each person can gradually try new situations, gain confidence in their abilities and measure their progress over the course of the sessions.

Relationships with others also play an important role. Circus arts help develop listening skills , cooperation , and the ability to function within a group .

The objective is therefore both to develop children's motor skills and to contribute to their personal and collective development .

For the 2026-2027 season, three workshops are offered every Saturday morning : one group for 4-5 year olds , one group for 6-7 year olds and one group for 8-10 year olds .

The courses are led by Sibylle Dupont and take place at the Le Colombier cultural center in Ville-d'Avray.

The activity is part of the larger project of the Maison Pour Tous de Ville-d'Avray , a popular education association created in 1961. The structure seeks in particular to promote the cultural, artistic and physical development , autonomy and fulfillment of its members through workshops, courses and various events.

The circus workshop thus constitutes a regular and structured offering allowing children from Ville-d'Avray and the surrounding area to discover several major circus families in an approach that is at once physical , artistic , creative and collective .
