Cirq'Evasion

Cirq'Évasion is a family circus school founded in 2013 and located in Vesoul, Haute-Saône . It welcomes its students under a real big top and develops a project combining amateur teaching , improvement , workshops , shows and meeting with professional artists .

The school welcomes children from the age of 3 , then supports their progress throughout childhood and adolescence . It also develops activities for adults and allows practitioners who wish to intensify their training .

Instruction is provided by circus arts professionals . Claire Alvarez , the school's director, is a circus arts teacher, professional artist, and holds a DEUST STAPS degree. Alejandro Alvarez is a circus arts teacher, professional artist, and rigger.

Cirq'Évasion's approach is multidisciplinary . Students can discover the major families of circus arts and gradually develop their preferences and specialties.

Juggling , balancing , acrobatics and aerial disciplines are among the practices developed by the school.

Aerial disciplines occupy a particularly important place in its identity. Trapeze , hoop and aerial silks are offered in the specialization courses and the school also has a flying trapeze practice, an emblematic discipline of Cirq'Évasion.

Students wishing to practice more can benefit from a second weekly class to increase their training time.

This possibility allows for continuity between discovery , regular practice and improvement .

Classes are organized by age group to adapt learning to each child's development and abilities. The youngest children start as early as age 3 before gradually joining the children's and then teenagers' groups.

Internships

Internships also constitute an important part of the activity.

During school holidays , Cirq'Évasion organizes workshops lasting from one day to several days. They are open to both beginners wishing to discover circus arts and experienced practitioners wishing to refine their techniques.

Some courses are multidisciplinary while others are devoted to a particular family: aerial disciplines , balances , juggling or other circus specialties.

Internships thus allow participants to discover new practices but also to increase the training time devoted to a discipline.

School and extracurricular groups

Cirq'Évasion also develops projects for school and extracurricular groups.

The team creates performances based on the educational project of the hosted structure and allows children to discover circus arts in a real circus environment.

Day trips and stays can also be organised under the big top to offer a more complete immersion in circus life.

The school also welcomes leisure centers , groups , associations , local authorities and works councils .

Students can participate in shows that allow them to put into practice the learning done during the year and to discover the stage dimension of circus arts.

The Grand Christmas Circus of Haute-Saône brings together professional and international artists under the big top. This event is directly linked to the school and contributes to its development and promotion.

Artist residencies
