Corps Accord is a circus school established in 2004 in Roncherolles-en-Bray, near Forges-les-Eaux, in Seine-Maritime. Run by the association Au bout de la piste , it presents itself as a small, family-run circus school offering discovery, initiation and advanced activities throughout the year.
The school welcomes a very wide range of participants, from children as young as 3 to teenagers and adults. Weekly workshops are organized in small groups according to age in order to adapt the pace, teaching methods, and level of difficulty to each participant's abilities.
The teaching is intentionally multidisciplinary . Acrobatics is one of the major disciplines covered, including ground work, pyramids, and acrobatic lifts. The school also develops aerial disciplines such as trapeze, aerial silks, aerial hoop, and Chinese pole.
Juggling allows for experimentation with a wide variety of objects: scarves, balls, hoops, clubs, spinning plates, diabolo, and devil sticks. Balancing acts on objects are also very common, including the barrel, the balance ball, the tightrope, the rolla-bolla, the unicycle, and stilts.
Corps Accord's pedagogy places the development and well-being of the child at its core. The school aims to create an environment that allows each child to discover their abilities, progress at their own pace, and build self-confidence.
Individual development is closely linked to the collective. Mutual support , sharing, respect, and fraternity are considered essential elements of the practice. Beginners are fully welcome, and the school affirms that its activities are accessible to all, without discrimination based on skill level or disability .
Artistic creation also plays a significant role. For Corps Accord, circus is first and foremost a living art : performance and show creation are therefore integral to the educational program. Depending on their age and interests, participants can become acrobats, jugglers, tightrope walkers, clowns, dancers, musicians, or contribute to the creative process in other ways.
For the 2026-2027 season, the weekly workshops welcome preschool children, elementary school children, middle school students, as well as teenagers and adults. The classes are led by professional educators and combine warm-up exercises, guided workshops, free practice time, and preparation for presentations or performances.
During school holidays, Corps Accord also offers the "One Day, One Show" program. Children aged 6 and up spend a whole day exploring circus arts and games before collectively preparing a show with acts, costumes, props, music, and makeup. A performance is presented at the end of the day.
The school also organizes summer camps in the form of overnight stays with camping accommodation . Young people alternate between acrobatics, juggling, balancing, aerial disciplines, trampoline, and expressive games. Free time allows participants to delve deeper into their favorite disciplines, and experienced practitioners to help beginners.
These camps place great emphasis on community life and independence . Children participate in the daily organization of the camp, and the team ensures that each child's pace is respected, as well as the artistic projects of more advanced participants.
Inclusion is a key focus of the project. The school states that all its activities are accessible without discrimination based on level or disability and develops inclusive initiatives to limit barriers to cultural participation and engagement.
Corps Accord is also involved in live performance . The organization holds a performing arts entrepreneur license and develops artistic creations as well as events dedicated to contemporary circus.
In particular, it organizes the Encore R'Accord festival, which brings together professional shows, cabarets and open mic nights, concerts and various artistic events under a big top. This activity allows students and the public to experience firsthand the world of contemporary circus and the performing arts.
Corps Accord is a particularly comprehensive amateur circus school, combining regular practice, workshops, retreats, show creation, artistic encounters, and inclusive initiatives. Its family-oriented and non-competitive approach aims as much to transmit circus techniques as to foster confidence, autonomy, imagination, mutual support, and the joy of creating together.
