Eastern Circus

Cirque de l'Est – Cirquest is a circus school located in the Hautes-Vosges, in the Vagney and Rochesson area.

The school offers circus arts training accessible from the age of 4 and then supports children up to adolescence. Classes are also offered to adults .

The teaching is structured to meet very different levels and objectives. Beginners can discover circus arts in a playful approach, while practitioners with prior experience can deepen their techniques and move towards advanced practice.

The school teaches, among other things, juggling , balancing on different apparatus, unicycling and acrobatics .

The diversity of disciplines allows students to explore several families of circus arts before gradually deepening their knowledge of the techniques that best suit them.

The school also places great importance on individual progress . Depending on their goals, students can practice simply for pleasure and discovery, seek to perfect their technique, work on the artistic and spectacular dimension of the circus or engage in learning advanced level figures.

This possibility of progressing from initiation to more complex techniques is an interesting characteristic of the school: teaching is not limited to a simple discovery activity intended for young children.

The artistic and performance aspect is also part of the project. Students can work on the showmanship side of the circus alongside the technical learning of the different disciplines.

The classes are supervised by Alexia Depuiset , identified as a teacher at the school by the municipality of Vagney.

Cirque de l'Est – Cirquest thus constitutes a local school allowing the inhabitants of Vagney, Rochesson and more broadly of the Hautes-Vosges to regularly practice circus arts.

With courses offered from age 4 up to adulthood, a practice combining juggling, balances, unicycle and acrobatics as well as a possibility of progression towards perfection and advanced level figures, the school caters both to people wishing to discover the circus and to practitioners wishing to develop a more technical and artistic practice.
