The Faranuka Circus School offers regular circus arts instruction in Allègre , Haute-Loire. It is hosted at the Centre George Sand , a cultural and community venue managed by AGUMAAA, the Association for the Management and Use of the Maison des Associations et de l'Animation d'Allègre.

Accessible from age 6 , Faranuka develops a multidisciplinary circus practice. Students can discover and deepen different techniques of juggling , acrobatics and balance .

Among the disciplines explicitly offered are juggling, walking on a large ball, acrobatics, various balance exercises, rola-bola, rope jumping and work around Chinese hoops.

However, teaching is not limited to the technical learning of the apparatus. Faranuka combines circus arts with different forms of artistic expression .

Mime , theatre , dance and singing can thus be integrated into the sessions. Clowning and humor also occupy an important place in the school environment.

This approach allows participants to work on their physical abilities, coordination and technical mastery, but also their presence, imagination and relationship with the audience.

Students are thus invited to discover the circus as a performing arts discipline, in which a technique can become the starting point for a character, a theatrical situation or a humorous proposition.

Levels of practice

Faranuka offers several levels of practice to support the progress of students.

  • A beginner's course allows you to discover the different disciplines and gradually acquire the fundamentals.
  • An advanced course , organized in a much longer format, offers experienced practitioners more time to deepen their techniques and develop their artistic practice.

Circus dance

The school also develops an original approach to circus dance . This activity combines dance , theatre and circus elements in a choreographic work designed for children.

Circus dance draws particularly on stories and imaginary worlds that are gradually transformed into choreographies. Movement, music, collective work, and the creation of stage images occupy a central place in this practice.

Faranuka's teaching is thus marked by a strong artistic and expressive dimension. Juggling, balancing or performing an acrobatic feat is not an isolated end in itself: the different techniques can be used to serve play, movement, theatre, humor and the relationship with the public.

Located in the George Sand Centre , the school also operates within an associative space that hosts numerous cultural and artistic activities, as well as artists in residence and shows.

The Faranuka Circus School thus provides a particularly attractive local option for children and young people in the Allègre area. Its program combines discovery and technical development with a very open approach to live performance, blending circus, theatre, dance, mime, music and clowning.
