INspirál Cirkuszsuli is a multidisciplinary circus school located in Budapest, Hungary. Housed within the INspirál Cirkuszközpont , it offers children and young people training combining juggling, aerial acrobatics, ground acrobatics, duo acrobatics and motor development.

The school is supported by the Magyar Zsonglőr Egyesület , the Hungarian Juggling Association, an organization committed to promoting circus arts, artistic training and the development of social circus .

Her pedagogical approach is based on an open conception of the circus, considered simultaneously as a physical activity , an artistic practice , a means of personal expression , and an educational tool . Children discover different disciplines in an environment where experimentation, creativity, cooperation, and the joy of learning are central.

A multidisciplinary circus school

Unlike structures specializing in a single discipline, INspirál Cirkuszsuli offers a cross-disciplinary exploration of circus arts.

Students explore several families of circus techniques during their training. This diversity allows them to develop complementary skills, discover their affinities, and gradually build better control of their bodies.

Juggling plays a significant role in the program. Children learn object manipulation and the fundamental principles of throwing, catching, and combining juggling techniques. The techniques covered may involve balls, rings, clubs, sticks, and poi.

This discipline promotes hand-eye coordination, concentration, a sense of rhythm, and precise movements. It also encourages perseverance and creativity, as each student can develop their own combinations of movements.

Aerial acrobatics allow participants to discover movements performed in suspension. Instruction is based in particular on aerial silks and aerial hoop , two apparatuses characteristic of contemporary circus.

Students gradually learn to hang, control their movements, and achieve positions adapted to their abilities. This practice develops strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence in one's own physical capabilities.

Floor acrobatics are another essential element of the training. They allow students to work on the fundamentals of acrobatic movement, balance, movement, and body techniques necessary for practicing many circus disciplines.

Partner acrobatics and acrobalancing introduce a collective dimension. Participants discover the principles of working in groups, including finding balance, shared positions, and coordination between partners.

This discipline places particular importance on communication, mutual trust, and cooperation.

All of this learning is complemented by motor development exercises designed to improve coordination, mobility, balance and body awareness.

Lessons adapted to the age of the children

INspirál Cirkuszsuli organizes its courses according to the age and development of the participants.

For the 2026-2027 school year, three groups are proposed.

The Pandák group, designed for children aged 6 to 8 , offers 75-minute sessions. The teaching emphasizes a playful introduction to circus disciplines, with exercises adapted to the motor skills of the youngest participants.

The Tigrisek group, for children aged 9 to 11 , benefits from 90-minute sessions. Participants deepen their technical fundamentals and progressively develop their coordination, strength, and autonomy.

The Sasok group, for young people aged 11 and over , attends two-hour sessions. This format allows for more time to be devoted to training, learning new techniques, and building more elaborate sequences.

The ages indicated are educational guidelines . Teachers may suggest a transfer to another group when this better suits a child's abilities, needs, and development.

Regular classes take place on Monday afternoons , according to a schedule organized by periods.

A pedagogy based on play and creativity

One of the distinctive features of INspirál Cirkuszsuli lies in its approach to teaching circus arts.

The school views circus disciplines as tools for the overall development of the child. The practice is not only about learning technical skills, but also about developing physical, cognitive, social and artistic abilities.

Play plays a vital role in the sessions. It allows students to experiment with new movements, discover the possibilities offered by the equipment, and progress in a stimulating environment.

The exercises promote motor coordination, concentration, spatial awareness, balance, and the ability to solve problems.

Circus training also encourages perseverance . Children discover that a complex figure can be broken down into several steps and that regular progress allows them to overcome initially difficult obstacles.

The collective dimension of teaching promotes mutual support, listening and respect for others.

The school thus seeks to combine the pleasure of movement with a genuine educational approach, in which each child can progress according to their abilities.

An experienced teaching team

INspirál Cirkuszsuli relies on a team of circus artists , educators and coaches with experience in teaching and professional practice.

She also trained in functional juggling with Craig Quat and participated in several European programs dedicated to circus pedagogy.

She is notably the author of a manual of circus pedagogy published in 2021, devoted to the accessibility and educational possibilities of circus arts.

André Rolland has been practicing circus arts since 2006 and has significant experience in aerial disciplines.

Trained at Alternatív Cirkusziskola , he has mastered various techniques including aerial silks, hoop, floor acrobatics, acrobalancing and juggling.

He has been teaching aerial disciplines since 2011 and has participated in several professional creations combining circus, dance and theatre.

His career includes co-founding the CommandARTe company and collaborations with Hungarian artistic organizations.

Csúz Réka develops an approach to aerial arts centered on movement, confidence, bodily freedom and experimentation.

Practicing aerial disciplines since 2019, she combines her experience with that of contemporary dance. Her teaching emphasizes a supportive environment in which children can explore movement, experiment, and progress at their own pace.

Kiss Gergely Geret is an independent artist with extensive experience in live performance and street theatre.

A founding member of the All In Circus company, he has participated in numerous Hungarian and international festivals.

His background includes juggling, stilt walking, fire juggling, character acting and street performance techniques.

In his classes, he combines technical learning with stage presence, creativity, and teamwork. Students thus discover how to transform a series of figures into a genuine artistic statement.

Circus workshops and camps during the holidays

In addition to regular classes, INspirál organizes circus workshops for children during school holidays.

These courses allow participants to discover several disciplines in a more intensive format, combining technical learning, team games and creative activities.

Previously organized programs were aimed particularly at children aged 7 to 12 , without requiring prior experience in circus arts.

Participants could discover juggling, acrobatics, aerial disciplines and various motor development activities.

The supervision prioritizes small groups , with support tailored to the level of the participants.

The internships may also include meetings with professional artists, allowing children to discover the realities of the circus artist profession.

A group presentation can be organised at the end of the internship in order to share the learning achieved during the week.

Public presentations to showcase learning

INspirál Cirkuszsuli gives space to the presentation of students' work.

The educational calendar includes a gala allowing children to showcase the skills acquired during the lessons.

These performances constitute an important step in artistic learning.

They offer participants the opportunity to discover the relationship with the public, to develop their self-confidence and to learn how to construct a collective performance.

Preparing a presentation also helps to work on concentration, memorizing sequences and cooperation between students.

The goal is not only to showcase technical performances, but also to highlight the progress made and the pleasure of sharing an artistic experience.

The INspirál Cirkuszközpont, a center dedicated to circus arts

The school is located within the INspirál Cirkuszközpont , a center for creation, training and meetings dedicated to circus arts.

Opened in its current premises in April 2016 , the center is managed by the Magyar Zsonglőr Egyesület , an association founded in 2002.

It provides a workspace for independent artists, jugglers, acrobats and contemporary circus companies.

The center welcomes both amateurs wishing to discover a new activity and professionals looking for a place to train and create.

Several Hungarian artistic companies and collectives are developing their projects there, including Tűzmadarak , One Two Many , One Thousand Face , Időutazók , Kreatív Kráter Kör and SimorÁg tánCirkusz .

This close connection with the professional world provides the school with a particularly rich artistic environment.

The children grow up in a place where circus arts are taught, practiced and developed as a form of contemporary creation.

A commitment to social circus and education

The Hungarian Juggling Association, which manages INspirál Cirkuszsuli, has for many years been developing projects dedicated to social circus and the use of circus disciplines as educational tools.

This approach is based on the idea that circus arts can contribute to personal development, social inclusion and the creation of bonds between participants.

Juggling, acrobatics and group activities offer particularly interesting learning opportunities, as they combine movement, creativity, cooperation and individual progress.

Circus arts also allow for the development of very different skills. Some participants develop their balance skills more, others their coordination, creativity or ability to work in a group.

This diversity promotes an inclusive approach to teaching, in which everyone can find a place and contribute to a collective achievement.

The association also participates in international exchanges and projects dedicated to the training of practitioners, circus pedagogy and contemporary artistic practices.

A school at the heart of the Hungarian Circassian community

INspirál Cirkuszsuli occupies an interesting place in the landscape of circus schools in Budapest.

Its associative structure, the diversity of its disciplines and the experience of its teachers allow it to offer learning that goes beyond the simple framework of a sporting activity.

The school combines traditional juggling and acrobatics techniques with contemporary circus practices, while placing particular emphasis on child development.

Its location within the INspirál Cirkuszközpont promotes encounters between students, educators, independent artists and professional companies.

By offering a progressive and playful introduction to circus arts, INspirál Cirkuszsuli contributes to transmitting circus culture to new generations and to developing amateur circus practice in Hungary.
