Kids Up Lausanne – Circus School
For 15 years, Kids Up Lausanne has been introducing children, teenagers and adults to the circus arts.
The school has a hall of over 650 m², equipped with professional equipment for practicing circus arts. This space allows students to discover the different disciplines in a suitable and safe environment.
Kids Up Lausanne's approach combines circus, gymnastics and psychomotor development to offer a varied, fun and non-competitive physical activity.
From baby circus to circus classes for children
The parent-child baby circus (or baby gym) welcomes toddlers from 12 months old. Motor skills courses, balance games and first bodily explorations help them develop their motor skills, coordination and confidence, while sharing a special moment with their parent.
From the age of 4, starting at school, children discover the circus through circus motor skills classes. This bridge between gymnastics and circus arts allows them to explore acrobatics, lifts, balances, object manipulation and the first aerial disciplines, including the trapeze and the silks.
From age 6 , multidisciplinary circus classes deepen these skills: large trampoline, juggling, ground acrobatics, partner acrobatics, tightrope walking, balance ball, rolling cylinder, aerial disciplines (trapeze, hoop and aerial silks), Chinese pole and even acting. The disciplines are varied for a well-rounded learning experience.
A caring and inclusive teaching approach
Guided by a team of qualified and professional instructors, students progress at their own pace. The sessions combine warm-up exercises, varied workshops, and cool-downs. They foster concentration, perseverance, independence, and cooperation, with the enjoyment of practice driving learning.
Kids Up Lausanne welcomes children with disabilities inclusively into its classes, with a qualified and specialized adapted sports instructor. This support allows the activities to be adapted to the child's needs and promotes their participation in group activities.
Circus for teenagers and adults
The Cirk Up section offers courses for teenagers and adults in Lausanne, particularly in circus arts, aerial disciplines, trampoline, and acrobatics. It allows participants to continue exploring circus arts or to deepen their existing practice.
From the discovery of movement to technical improvement, Kids Up Lausanne brings to life the fundamental values of the circus: progressing without competition, helping each other, sharing and enjoying the pleasure of the stage.
