Mäntän Nuorisirkus

Mäntän Nuorisosirkus ry is a circus association based in Mänttä, in the municipality of Mänttä-Vilppula, in the heart of the Finnish region of Pirkanmaa.

It belongs to the national network of structures dedicated to teaching and amateur practice of circus arts among young people.

An association dedicated to youth circus

The name Mäntän Nuorisosirkus literally means "Circus of the youth of Mänttä".

The association is one of the structures referenced by Suomen Nuorisosirkusliitto, the Finnish Federation of Circuses for Youth.

This federation brings together schools and associations that promote the practice of circus arts, artistic expression and the development of circus activities in Finland.

Mäntän Nuorisosirkus is part of this national dynamic while maintaining a local focus.

A location in Mänttä-Vilppula

The association is located in Mänttä, a city known for its cultural and artistic activity.

The municipality of Mänttä-Vilppula is home to many associations that participate in the organization of sporting, educational and cultural activities.

Mäntän Nuorisosirkus contributes to this community life by offering circus-related activities.

The city occasionally makes municipal facilities available to various associations, including the youth circus.

Activities for young people

Mäntän Nuorisosirkus is a structure geared towards young practitioners.

Its affiliation with the Finnish Youth Circus Federation confirms its membership in the network of associations offering circus activities.

However, the currently available public information does not allow us to precisely establish the disciplines taught, the age groups accommodated, or the distribution of groups for the 2026–2027 school year.

This information must be confirmed directly with the association before being published in a detailed program.

Community activity still visible in 2026

The association is mentioned in several recent municipal publications.

On September 5, 2026 , an information meeting of Mäntän Nuorisosirkus was planned in the premises of the Mänttä school center, in Koskelankatu 1.

The event was under the responsibility of Kyllikki Ala-Lehtimäki-Jääskeläinen .

This meeting provides a concrete indication of the association's activity in the fall of 2026.

Participation in family events

Mäntän Nuorisosirkus also participates in local events.

The association was notably among the participants of KaikkiPomppii , a family event organized from October 10 to 12, 2026 at the Pekilo premises in Mänttä.

This type of participation helps to raise awareness of circus activities among families and the local public.

It also demonstrates the links between the association and other organizers of activities for children.

A member of the national youth circus network

The association is a member of Suomen Nuorisosirkusliitto.

The federation plays an important role in the development of circus arts in Finland. It supports schools and associations, organizes events, and contributes to teacher training.

Mäntän Nuorisosirkus's membership in this network allows it to be identified as a structure dedicated to the practice of youth circus.

An amateur practice structure

Mäntän Nuorisosirkus should be classified among the amateur circus schools and associations.

No verified information supports the claim that it is a higher education institution specializing in vocational training or an organization awarding an artistic diploma.

Its ranking is based on its association status, its federal affiliation and recent traces of its local activities.

Information to be completed

To enrich this presentation, several details still need to be confirmed with the association: the year of creation, the disciplines offered, the ages of the participants, the weekly schedules, the prices and the usual address of the training sessions.

It would also be useful to know about any shows or events in which the students participate.
