MOKSiAL – Zajęcia Cyrkowe

MOKSiAL is a municipal cultural center located in Szklarska Poręba, in southwestern Poland. It offers regular circus workshops for children as part of its program of artistic and educational activities.

The sessions allow participants to discover various circus props, illusion elements, and exercises combining movement and coordination. The goal is to foster a first approach to circus arts through experimentation and group practice.

The activities take place in the spaces of the cultural center, which also hosts workshops in theater, dance, music, and visual arts. This diversity allows children to discover several forms of artistic expression.

Circus workshops are part of the program announced for the 2026–2027 season, with activities starting in October. MOKSiAL thus provides a place to discover amateur circus arts in the Szklarska Poręba region.

MOKSiAL , or Miejski Ośrodek Kultury, Sportu i Aktywności Lokalnej, is a municipal center dedicated to culture, sport and community life, located in Szklarska Poręba, in the Lower Silesia region of Poland.

Throughout the year, it organizes artistic and educational activities for the residents of the town. Among its offerings are circus workshops for children, allowing them to discover different circus arts in a group setting.

An introduction to circus arts

Circus workshops, called Zajęcia Cyrkowe in Polish, offer an introduction to the accessories and techniques associated with circus arts.

The program emphasizes object manipulation, illusion, movement, and coordination.

Children are invited to experiment with different activities, develop their dexterity and explore new possibilities for physical expression.

The approach prioritizes discovery and participation rather than professional artistic training.

Movement, coordination and creativity

Circus exercises mobilize numerous physical and cognitive skills.

Through the manipulation of accessories and movement activities, participants can work on their coordination, attention, and perception of space.

The elements of illusion add an extra dimension, combining skill, imagination and presentation in front of others.

This diversity allows us to approach circus arts from several angles, without limiting ourselves to a single discipline.

A multidisciplinary artistic environment

Circus classes are part of a broader cultural program.

MOKSiAL has rooms adapted for different activities, including dance, theatre, music and visual arts.

Children can thus discover circus arts in a place that also promotes encounters with other artistic practices.

Workshops offered during the school year

The center organizes regular activities, generally from October to June, with registration open during the season.

For the year 2026–2027, circus workshops are included in the new program announced from October 5, 2026.

Families can contact the workshop service directly to find out about schedules, available groups and registration procedures.

A structure for discovering amateur circus

MOKSiAL is not a higher or professional circus school. It is a municipal cultural center offering introductory courses in circus arts.

Its program allows children to discover circus arts in an accessible setting, alongside other artistic disciplines.

With its workshops in manipulation, illusion and coordination, MOKSiAL participates in the dissemination of circus arts among young inhabitants of Szklarska Poręba and its surroundings.
