The Maja Weiller Vertical Arts School is a Swiss school specializing in teaching aerial arts, located in Zurich since 2011.

Founded and directed by Maja Weiller , a professional aerial artist and choreographer, it offers regular training for children, teenagers and adults wishing to discover or deepen their knowledge of aerial circus disciplines.

The school distinguishes itself through its approach combining high-level technical learning , physical expression , and choreographic research .

The subjects taught

Aerial silks is the central discipline of his teaching. Students gradually learn the different techniques of suspension, wrapping, climbing and movement on this apparatus.

The training also extends to the smooth rope and aerial straps , particularly in groups intended for intermediate and advanced adults.

The classes help develop strength , flexibility , coordination and body control , while giving significant importance to the quality of movement and its artistic interpretation.

Course organization

The teaching is organized according to the age and level of the participants.

  • Children and teenagers : aerial silks practice is accessible from the age of eight . Classes are organized in semester sessions .
  • Adults : courses are held quarterly , with several groups corresponding to different technical levels.

Beginners discover the basics of aerial practice and gradually develop the physical abilities necessary for their progression on the apparatus.

Intermediate practitioners can deepen their technical knowledge while engaging in more developed choreographic work.

Advanced groups explore techniques such as beats , roll-ups and various dynamic movements specific to aerial disciplines.

An artistic and choreographic approach

Choreography is an essential component of the teaching.

The school's objective is not limited to the execution of technical figures: students are also encouraged to develop an expressive practice and to build a true artistic relationship with their apparatus.

This direction directly reflects Maja Weiller's career path.
