Málaga Circo LOOM is a circus, aerial arts and movement school located in Málaga, Andalusia.

The school was born after several years devoted to teaching aerial silks acrobatics.

The creation of Málaga Circo LOOM has made it possible to have a space specially adapted to the technical and material needs of aerial and acrobatic disciplines.

The project has gradually developed to offer a wide range of circus, physical and artistic activities.

The school now welcomes children, teenagers and adults.

Classes for younger children

Younger children can start with circus and acrobatics classes designed for children aged 3 to 6 .

These sessions provide an initial introduction to movement and circus techniques in an approach adapted to the physical development of children.

From the age of 6 , several disciplines can be explored in greater depth. Aerial silks and hoop are offered to children and teenagers.

The courses allow you to start with the basics and progress gradually towards more complex techniques.

Aerial disciplines

Aerial tissues

Aerial silks is one of the school's historical disciplines. Students work on physical preparation, climbs, figures, sequences and various dynamic techniques.

Several levels are available to support the progress of practitioners. Intermediate and advanced groups allow them to continue learning after acquiring the fundamentals.

Aerial hammock

The aerial hammock offers another entry point into aerial disciplines. It allows beginners, in particular, to discover suspended work using an apparatus that provides numerous points of support.

Aerial hoop and trapeze

Aerial hoop is taught to both children and adults. Adults can also practice trapeze .

Courses combining hoop and trapeze allow you to discover or deepen your knowledge of these two apparatuses.

Acrobatics and floor disciplines

Ground acrobatics complements aerial work. Students can develop rolls, acrobatic movements, coordination and body control.

Verticals are the subject of specific training. The courses allow students to progress from the first balance positions to more advanced techniques.

Parkour

Málaga Circo LOOM also offers parkour for children and teenagers. The instruction emphasizes the acquisition of solid foundations and the control of jumps, movements, landings and falls.

This approach seeks to enable technical progress while giving significant importance to safety.

Dance with harness and bungee

Harness dancing and bungee jumping are another distinctive feature of the school. These disciplines allow students to explore movement in different directions and to work with the sensation of suspension.

Bungee jumping uses an elastic system to develop jumps, flights, and dynamic movements. Harness dancing allows this work to continue with a different relationship to gravity.

Dance and movement

The school also develops dance and movement work. Collaborations with dance professionals allow students to explore body expression, fluidity, and personal movement exploration.

Physical preparation and flexibility

Physical preparation plays an important role in the educational program. Aerial disciplines require strength, mobility, coordination, and body control.

Specific sessions therefore allow these qualities to be developed in parallel with technical practice.

Flexibility is also specifically addressed. The exercises combine active and passive flexibility. The goal is to progressively improve range of motion while maintaining control and respecting the body's limits.

The school also offers complementary activities such as acroyoga and various forms of physical conditioning. This diversity allows practitioners to complement their circus training with work on mobility, strength, and movement.

Course organization

The courses are organized according to age and level.

  • The children have specific groups.
  • Teenagers can continue their progression in aerial and acrobatic disciplines.
  • Adults can start without prior experience or join groups corresponding to an intermediate or advanced level.

Espacio Crea

Málaga Circo LOOM also has an Espacio Crea . This space allows for the development of a more autonomous practice and for working around research and creation.

The teaching staff

The teaching team is composed of professionals specializing in the various disciplines offered. Several teachers themselves have professional artistic experience in circus arts, dance, theatre and aerial arts.

This diversity of backgrounds allows us to approach disciplines from different angles.

A comprehensive approach

The school aims to combine technical learning , physical preparation , and artistic expression . Students can thus progress in their main discipline while developing the physical qualities necessary for their practice.

The variety of activities also allows you to discover different forms of circus and movement in the same place.

  • Children can start with a general approach to the circus before moving on to aerial disciplines, acrobatics or parkour.
  • Teenagers have access to courses tailored to their age.
  • Adults can practice aerial silks, hammock, hoop, trapeze, acrobatics, verticals and various complementary disciplines.

This organization makes Málaga Circo LOOM a space particularly specialized in aerial arts while offering broader body training around acrobatics, movement and physical preparation.
