Nov Cirk – Circus Academy Sofia , also known as Цирков център рОНов Цирк“ in Bulgarian, is a center for teaching and practicing contemporary circus arts located in Sofia, Bulgaria. Its activities combine artistic training, physical conditioning, and the creation of shows.

Originating from a project initially known as Cirque de la Lulin , Nov Cirk has developed a school aimed at making circus arts accessible to everyone. The school welcomes children, teenagers, and adults, from beginners to experienced artists.

Its teaching is distinguished by the diversity of practices offered. The center's historical programs include juggling with various props, contact juggling, poi , buugeng , ground acrobatics, balance exercises, and clowning. Aerial disciplines are also part of its curriculum, notably aerial hoop and various forms of suspended acrobatics.

The teaching method is based on a progressive discovery of circus techniques. The classes help develop coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, concentration, and personal expression. The center also encourages artistic experimentation, creativity, and teamwork.

Nov Cirk maintains links with live performance and contemporary creation. Its activities are not limited to sports training: they also address stage movement, clowning and object manipulation as means of artistic expression.

The historical project was notably developed by Louiza Doushkova , a circus artist and educator. Several trainers, including Desislava Rogoulina and Silvia Karadzhova , participated in its development.

The academy is now associated with a training space located at 42 Rodopski Izvor Street , in the Borovo district of Sofia. This address replaces the former location on Krum Popov Street, which is still listed in some directories.

In February and March 2026, Nov Cirk Academy announced the expansion of its aerial acrobatics, lollipop, and physical conditioning courses. A new program including additional disciplines and new instructors was also announced.

The center presents itself as a space open to different ages and levels, where the practice of circus arts promotes self-confidence, mutual support, the pleasure of movement and the discovery of new abilities.

Nov Cirk – Circus Academy Sofia is an interesting option for learning contemporary circus arts in Bulgaria. Detailed schedules, prices, and availability for each discipline should be confirmed directly with the academy.
