PolePlay is a network of studios specializing in pole sport, pole fitness, and aerial disciplines, located in Budapest and Budaörs, Hungary. The studio offers a sporting and artistic approach to acrobatic arts, accessible to both beginners and experienced practitioners.

The classes are designed to allow everyone to progress at their own pace, developing their muscle strength , flexibility , coordination , and body control . The school uses a structured level system, with exercises adapted to each participant's abilities.

The sports center and the fitness center

Pole sport and pole fitness are the core disciplines of PolePlay. Students progressively learn fundamental positions, rotations, static poses, and acrobatic movements around a vertical pole . Sessions combine physical conditioning, technical training, and coordination exercises.

Aerial gymnastics

The establishment also offers aerial gymnastics classes, called Légtorna in Hungarian. Three apparatuses are particularly highlighted: aerial silks , aerial hoop and aerial hammock .

Aerial fabric

Aerial silks, or Aerial Silk , allows for acrobatic feats to be performed on two long, suspended strips of fabric. This discipline develops upper body strength , core stability, flexibility, and coordination. Students learn holds, climbs, and technical positions before tackling more complex sequences.

The aerial hoop

Aerial hoop, also known as aerial hoop , is practiced on a suspended circular metal apparatus. It allows for the development of various balance positions, rotations, static figures and dynamic movements, combining strength , precision and body expression .

The aerial hammock

Aerial hammock uses a suspended fabric forming a loop. This discipline allows for the performance of figures and transitions in suspension, while developing mobility and body control. Some sequences performed to music may also be inspired by aerial yoga .

Aerial gymnastics classes are presented as being led by a qualified circus arts instructor. The aim is to allow participants to discover these disciplines in a setting suitable for recreational practice.

Stretching

PolePlay also offers stretching sessions designed to improve flexibility and joint mobility. These classes complement pole sport and aerial arts practice by working on range of motion and physical conditioning.

The Pole Kid program

The school welcomes children aged 7 to 15 as part of its Pole Kid program. These sessions include an introduction to pole work, muscle strengthening and coordination exercises, ballet basics, and progressive preparation for acrobatic movements. Young people can practice for leisure or develop athletic ambitions.

Course organization

Group instruction is organized into mixed-level groups. After a shared warm-up, students work on exercises tailored to their experience and goals. This method allows beginners to integrate into regular sessions while offering advanced practitioners opportunities for progression.

Private lessons of 60, 75 or 90 minutes are also offered. These provide individualized support, particularly for working on a specific technique, preparing for a competition or creating an artistic performance.

Shows and events

PolePlay also develops a performance activity. Its team offers pole dance, aerial silks, hoop and hammock performances for sporting events, festivals, corporate events and other private or public occasions.

Festive sessions and group activities can also be organized, particularly for hen parties . These offer an opportunity to discover pole dancing through a choreographic introduction.

The studios

PolePlay studios are located in several districts of Budapest as well as in Budaörs . Students can check schedules and book their classes online.

Thanks to its progressive teaching, the diversity of apparatus offered and its activities for different audiences, PolePlay is an interesting place to discover or deepen your knowledge of pole sport and aerial arts in Hungary.
