Réno & Co is an amateur circus school located in Bar-sur-Seine , in the Aube region. Set up under a big top in the Parc de Val Seine , it offers children, teenagers and adults the opportunity to discover and regularly practice circus arts in an environment directly associated with the world of the circus ring.

The school welcomes children from the age of 5 and also offers activities for teenagers, students, and adults. Participants can discover the different branches of circus arts or further develop skills they have already acquired.

The teaching is multidisciplinary and allows students to explore several major circus disciplines.

The subjects taught

Acrobatics

Acrobatics is one of the fundamentals offered by the school. It allows students to work on body control, coordination and movement while providing a useful foundation for many other circus techniques.

Juggling

Juggling also plays an important role in learning. It develops dexterity, coordination, concentration and regularity , and can gradually be integrated into more artistic work.

Balances on objects

The balances on objects are particularly present in the offer of Réno & Co.

Students can discover activities such as ball balancing and the American roller . The school also offers tightrope walking, which allows them to approach balance in a different way and gradually develop confidence and precision in their movements.

Aerial disciplines

Aerial disciplines complement this teaching and allow students to discover working at height and the sensations specific to suspended apparatus.

The art of clowning

Clowning is also among the disciplines offered by Réno & Co. This dimension allows for the integration of a more playful, character-driven, expressive , and audience-focused approach into the technical work.

This diversity allows for a truly multidisciplinary exploration of the circus rather than limiting students to a single technique.

Group organization

The groups are organized according to age in order to adapt the duration and content of the sessions to the development of the participants.

Younger children have shorter sessions, while older children, teenagers and adults benefit from longer practice times allowing them to delve deeper into the different disciplines.

A friendly and family atmosphere

The school prides itself on a friendly and family atmosphere. It clearly falls within the logic of recreational circus : participants can come and discover the disciplines, practice regularly and progress at their own pace.

However, the possibility of further development is explicitly offered. A student can therefore continue their practice over the years and gradually delve deeper into the disciplines that best suit them.

The circus tent, an element of identity

The marquee is an important element of Reno & Co. 's identity.

Located in the Parc de Val Seine in Bar-sur-Seine, the school allows students to practice in a real circus environment rather than in a simple multi-sports hall.

The venue also occasionally hosts other events. For example, the marquee served as the setting for the European Artistic Crafts Days , hosting around fifteen craftspeople.

A mobile dimension

Réno & Co also has a mobile dimension.

The team can move its activity and its big top to develop projects outside of Bar-sur-Seine.

In the summer of 2025, Réno & Co notably set up shop for a week in Sainte-Colombe-sur-Seine as part of the activities of the leisure centers of the Pays Châtillonnais .

Supervised by Gipsy and Chris , the children were able to discover several circus disciplines, including juggling, balancing and acrobatics.

This week ended with a performance presented to families .

This type of project shows that the activity of Réno & Co is not limited to the members who frequent the marquee in Bar-sur-Seine every week.

The school can also reach out to other audiences and develop introductory projects combining learning techniques and preparing a show.

This mobility is particularly suited to leisure centers, municipalities and structures wishing to organize a circus project over several days.

The presentation in front of the families then allows an artistic dimension to be given to the learning done during the workshops.

A key player in local cultural life

Réno & Co also participates in local cultural and community life.

Its big top is an identifiable feature in Bar-sur-Seine and can occasionally become a meeting place between circus arts and other artistic or craft practices.

The association is chaired by Gipsy Regazzoni , who also appears in the school's traveling educational projects.

The entire project is thus based on several complementary dimensions:

  • a permanent amateur circus school under a big top;
  • regular classes for different ages;
  • a multidisciplinary practice ;
  • the opportunity to progress and improve ;
  • external interventions to introduce the circus to new audiences.

For whom?

For a child, Réno & Co therefore allows them to start from the age of 5 with a general discovery of circus arts and then to continue their practice over the years.

Teenagers can continue to develop their skills and adults also have a space to practice.

Acrobatics, juggling, tightrope walking, balance ball, American roller, aerial disciplines and clowning allow you to discover very different techniques and gradually build a personal practice.

The presence of the big top and the itinerant dimension of the school finally reinforce its circus identity and allow it to combine regular teaching in Bar-sur-Seine , occasional projects and discovery activities in the territory .
