Piste au Nez de la Balle is a circus school based in Villefranche-de-Rouergue , in the Aveyron region, which develops its activities in several municipalities in the area.
The association welcomes participants from the age of 4 and develops a teaching method based on artistic discovery , creativity , learning circus techniques , and interaction between participants . It caters to a wide range of audiences: children, families, individuals, schools, specialized institutions, retirement homes, and other organizations wishing to implement a project around circus arts.
The teaching is multidisciplinary and allows students to explore the main families of the circus.
Juggling includes balls , scarves , clubs , and flower sticks . Depending on the educational projects, other objects such as Chinese plates and diabolo may also be used.
Balancing on objects also plays an important role. Students can experiment with the balance wire , the balance ball , the American roller or rolla-bolla, the pedal bike and the unicycle .
Acrobatics is approached individually but also through acrobatic lifts and various group situations.
Aerial disciplines are represented in particular by the trapeze and aerial silks .
Finally, acting , body expression and work on entering and exiting the stage allow us to link technical learning to the artistic dimension of the circus.
The school's teaching method is not based on a logic of competition . Each practitioner is supported in their own progression and can deepen the techniques corresponding to their abilities , motivations and artistic desires .
The sessions alternate between warm-up , discovery workshops , in-depth study of one or more techniques , individual or group work , and time for discussion about the participants' feelings and desires.
