Zirkus Wiesbaden is a circus school for children, teenagers and young adults located in Wiesbaden, in the state of Hesse, Germany.

Led by the Neuer Zirkus eV association, the project has been developing circus education activities since 1985 , allowing young people to discover circus arts, practice regularly and participate in the creation of shows.

The program allows children as young as 6 to start circus arts. Courses for beginners and slightly more experienced children are available for ages 6–10 .

No particular sporting ability or prior experience is necessary: children discover different disciplines at their own pace, in an approach that emphasizes play , fun , movement and creativity .

Beginners can learn juggling , unicycling , acrobatics , tightrope walking and ball balancing .

This initial approach allows each child to try different techniques and gradually discover the disciplines that suit them best.

Flambolino, the Kinderzirkus

Children aged 9 to 14 can then join Flambolino , the Kinderzirkus in Wiesbaden. This ensemble allows for regular and more in-depth practice.

The young artists there work on juggling, unicycling, acrobatics, tightrope walking, balancing on balls and ladders, magic, clowning and diabolo.

Learning is not based on the pursuit of performance at all costs. Children are supported by competent instructors and progress at their own pace.

The activities offer many opportunities for movement and also leave significant room for imagination and creativity .

The acts prepared during training are regularly presented to the public. Flambolino thus performs at shows and events with a real circus program created by the children.

The group has about 25 young artists and a history spanning several decades.

The Jugendzirkus is ablaze!

From the age of 15 , young people can continue their journey within Flambolé , the Jugendzirkus of Wiesbaden.

This set, designed for teenagers and young adults, allows them to deepen the skills acquired over the years and to participate in more elaborate productions.

Aerial disciplines

Specific courses are also dedicated to aerial disciplines . Children from 9 years old and teenagers can practice trapeze and vertical silks in groups adapted to their age.

Flambess – Junges Variety Wiesbaden

For young adults who already have circus experience, Neuer Zirkus eV also offers Flambess – Junges Varieté Wiesbaden .

This group offers a self-sufficient training space in which former participants of children's and teenagers' circuses, amateur artists and experienced enthusiasts can continue their practice.

Flambess allows you to work on acrobatics, unicycle, juggling with clubs, balls, diabolo or poi , vertical fabric, static trapeze, tightrope, rola-bola and balances on a ball.

The group collectively develops creations with the aim of regularly presenting a show or a variety evening.

A continuous and unique journey

This continuity is one of the special features of Zirkus Wiesbaden: a participant can start in a beginners' course as a child, then join the Kinderzirkus Flambolino, continue in the Jugendzirkus Flambolé and then continue their practice into adulthood.

Performances play a vital role in this journey. The various groups prepare productions in which the techniques learned become fully staged acts.

Juggling, unicycling, acrobatics and aerial disciplines are thus integrated into creations intended for the public.

Recent creations

Artistic activity remains particularly dynamic. In 2026 , Flambolé notably presented "Circus Night Fever" , a new creation combining unicycle, juggling, aerial disciplines, acrobatics and different forms of staging.

The aerial courses and Flambess also participated in another production entitled "Pippi's Abenteuer" .

Zirkus Wiesbaden also participates in festivals and outdoor events and can develop workshops or projects adapted to different events.

This activity allows young artists to gain additional stage experience and helps to raise awareness of circus arts among the public.

Educational and social dimension

The project finally has a genuine educational and social dimension. Neuer Zirkus eV is recognized as an independent youth support organization and works in cooperation with the social services of the city of Wiesbaden.

The association is also a member of professional networks dedicated to pedagogy and circus arts in Germany and in the state of Hesse.

With over forty years of activity , Zirkus Wiesbaden offers a particularly comprehensive program, ranging from the discovery of circus arts from the age of 6 to the independent practice of young adults.

Regular classes, age-based groups, aerial disciplines and stage creations allow everyone to progress while developing creativity , self-confidence and the pleasure of practicing collectively .
