The Zirkusschule Geldini is a circus school located in Aulendorf , Baden-Württemberg . It offers children a multidisciplinary introduction to circus arts through regular classes, holiday programs, and projects carried out with schools.

The school is run by Jasmin Gelder , herself a circus performer. She started circus arts at the age of six in a circus school in Stuttgart before training as a circus instructor.

At 14, she trained as a circus arts teaching assistant. She then obtained a qualification in 2017 as a gymnastics instructor.

This experience now informs the educational project of the Zirkusschule Geldini, which combines technical learning , creativity , personal expression and the pleasure of practice .

The school seeks in particular to create an environment in which children can experiment with different disciplines and gradually discover their own abilities.

Regular classes are available for children aged 8 and over.

The teaching is intentionally multidisciplinary : students are not immediately directed towards a specialty but experience different families of circus arts.

Aerial disciplines occupy an important place with the practice of aerial silks and trapeze .

Acrobatics on the ground also helps to develop coordination, body control and physical abilities.

Children also discover balance disciplines , including tightrope walking.

Juggling is another aspect of learning and helps to develop concentration, coordination and precision.

The hula hoop and various forms of object manipulation complement this discovery.

Clowning finally allows us to explore a more theatrical dimension of the circus. Children can experiment with play, improvisation, and interacting with the audience.

The teaching method prioritizes experimentation and personal progress rather than the immediate pursuit of performance.

Children are encouraged to try different techniques, identify those they like, and progress according to their abilities.

Self-confidence is an important objective of the project.

The exercises offered allow participants to gradually confront new challenges and become aware of their abilities.

Collective work also plays an important role, particularly through acrobatic exercises and the creation of human pyramids .

The school thus seeks to simultaneously develop concentration , body awareness , courage , creativity and team spirit .

The stage dimension is an integral part of the learning process.

As the summer holidays approach, the students are preparing a big circus show allowing them to present to their families and friends the techniques they have worked on during the year.

The Zirkusschule Geldini also organizes circus weeks during school holidays.

For several days, children can discover or deepen their knowledge of acrobatics, aerial disciplines, clowning, tightrope walking and other techniques.

Participants then choose the disciplines they wish to explore in greater depth.

The week ends with a performance in front of family and friends.

The school also develops a significant educational activity with schools and kindergartens .

Project days or weeks can be structured according to the age of the participants and the needs of the institution.

Children can then experiment with juggling with scarves, balls and rings, human pyramids, the balance ball, the tightrope, clowning, aerial silks and the trapeze.

The approach remains intentionally non-competitive : each child is encouraged to experiment without pressure and to discover the disciplines in which they feel comfortable.

The Zirkusschule Geldini thus constitutes a true amateur circus school for children , combining regular classes, multidisciplinary discovery, shows, holiday camps and educational interventions.
