This plate model is more difficult to use than plastic plates geared toward beginners. This model, although more difficult to accelerate, benefits from much better inertia than PVC plates. It has its place in shows and rather among professionals who need the plate to spin for as long as possible. Useful if you have several plates to accelerate one after the other.

It's all in the flexibility of the wrist. The Chinese plate , also called the juggling plate , is a circus technique that is popular with everyone. This practice requires good motor skills and a certain awareness of the body diagram.

The shape of the plate is such that it can balance quite easily on the top of the stick. The basic movement consists of rotating the plate at the end of the wand balanced on its center.

This model will work best with a wooden wand ( sold separately ). Avoid using PVC sticks because this model of plate weighs twice as much as most PVC plates.

Start slowly and gradually accelerate by drawing circles in the air with the tip of the wand. The movement comes from the wrist. When the plate rotates quickly enough and it stabilizes horizontally, block the movement and it stabilizes its rotation.

This is when you can try several tricks: throw the plate then catch it on the stick. Pass the plate of the baguette to a finger of your hand or to a finger of your neighbor!

For what type of practice?

This robust plate is rather recommended for entertainment professionals. It can be used as an initiation, but if your students have short sessions, it may be more interesting to opt for PVC plates , which are easier to use.
