Mobile anchoring kit with pulley system (Installation on a clear beam)

This mobile anchoring system (Circus Division range, compliant with UNI EN 913:2019 and Directive 2001/95/EC) is specifically designed for installing aerial acrobatics and dance equipment (silks, hoops, trapezes, ropes). It allows a technician or user to safely raise and lower the equipment from the ground, thus avoiding the need for a platform or scaffolding when changing equipment.

Mobile anchoring kit: low anchor plate and two black truck loops

This kit configuration is designed for installation on load-bearing structures with an exposed beam. The two upper attachment points (pulleys) are secured using the provided textile anchor loops (Truck loops). This requires access around the entire perimeter of the beam to secure the straps.
Note: If the building configuration does not allow for embracing the beam (flat ceiling or recessed beam), mounting using top-mounted fixing plates is required. Refer to the Mobile Ceiling Anchoring System .

Elements of the mobile anchor kit: two red anchor loops and two grey components (pulleys and carabiners).

Technical specifications and structural limitations

When designing an anchor point for aerial arts, it is imperative to dimension the installation for dynamic loads. Aerial acrobatics (falls, swings) can generate a tensile load of up to 10 times the athlete's body weight . Since the working load of a system and its resistance to failure are determined by its weakest link, it is the installer's responsibility to consult a professional or structural engineer to validate the load-bearing capacity of the supporting beam and the wall receiving the lower anchor point.

Accessories for the mobile anchor kit: black pulley wheel and Circus Division PlayJuggling label.

Kit contents and component technical data:

  • 1x Anchor plate (lower wall or floor fixing point): 6 mm thick galvanized steel, machined without welding. 12 cm diameter, hole spacing less than 10 cm. The plate's eyelet incorporates a wear-resistant silicone protector compatible with standard connectors (carabiners, links, swivels).
Manufacturer's data: WLL (Working Load Limit): ~400 kg (4 kN) / MLR (Minimum Breaking Load): 30 kN (~3000 kg). Safety factor: 7.
  • 2x Anchor loops (Truck loops): Length 80 cm. High-strength textile webbing certified to break at 45 kN.
  • 2x Pulleys: Certified for lifting systems and PPE.
  • 2x Oval carabiners: Made of steel, equipped with a screw ring closure system.
  • 2x Quick links: Delta / Oval model with an 8 mm section.
  • 1x Semi-static rope: Diameter 10.5 mm. Technical rope with a sewn loop and certified at one end.
  • 1x Counterweight bag: Canvas bag for ballast. It requires the addition of 2 to 3 kg of sand or gravel (used to maintain minimum tension in the rope when the system is empty).
  • Crash mat not included in this kit: The use of an approved landing mat is essential on the fall trajectory.

Calculating the required rope length:
The rope length must be specified when selecting purchase options. To calculate the appropriate strand size, apply the following reference formula: L = (A x 2) + B.
Multiply the height of the upper anchor point from the ground (A) by 2, and add the horizontal distance between the vertical of the upper anchor point and the location of the floor/wall plate (B).

Diagram explaining how to calculate the length of the rope

Installation of the anchoring plate (floor/wall)

The base plate included in this kit serves as a low anchor point to secure the rope once the rigging is in place. It comes with mounting hardware suitable for standard supports. The reliability of this anchor depends on the quality of the installation and the support itself.

  • On wooden support: Fixing via the 3 included Torx self-tapping screws (Ø 8 mm, L 80 mm, threaded at 2/3, class 4.6 galvanized steel), to be installed without pre-drilling.
Limits of the set of 3 screws according to the manufacturer: WLL ~200 kg (2 kN) / MLR 15 kN.
  • On concrete (type C20/25): Fixing via the 3 included anchor bolts (Ø 10 mm, M10 bolt in class 4.8 carbon steel). Requires a precise 10 mm diameter hole. The cleanliness of the hole (dust removal) and the drilling depth are critical for the mechanical expansion of the bolt. For concrete installations, riggers often recommend replacing mechanical fixing with chemical anchoring (resin and sleeve not included in this kit) to optimize security.
Limits of the set of 3 studs according to the manufacturer: WLL ~250 kg (2.5 kN) / MLR 18 kN.

In some of our real-life images, the Play brand certified landing mat appears. This mat is not included with this kit; it is shown solely for demonstration purposes regarding air clearance and the safety zone.

Inspection and maintenance protocol

In addition to the required visual inspection before, during, and after each use, the entire system must be checked by a competent person at intervals of no more than 12 months (or 100 hours of use according to PPE recommendations). The equipment must be immediately taken out of service in the event of:

  • Presence of cracks or permanent deformation on the metal parts.
  • Deep corrosion altering the surface condition.
  • After a major fall: each component of the system having undergone exceptional stress must be thoroughly re-inspected, as internal damage to textile elements is not always visible.

Constraints related to outdoor use

This kit includes components made of galvanized steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel. Its occasional outdoor use is technically feasible under certain strict conditions of dry storage (storage and operating temperature below 80°C).

Impact on textiles (rope and truck loops): While mechanical parts are weather-resistant when properly maintained, textile materials are particularly sensitive. UV rays, rain, and residual moisture accelerate fiber degradation, altering the rope's dynamic behavior (stiffening, loss of strength) and affecting the overall safety of the system.

Our technical recommendations: Outdoor installation is permitted for temporary, sheltered setups or use in dry weather. If the setup must remain outdoors, it is essential to dismantle it after use. Textile parts should only be washed in fresh water with neutral soap (maximum temperature 30°C) and then air-dried, away from heat sources or direct sunlight. Metal parts should be rinsed in clean water and dried immediately to prevent oxidation.

      Re: Exterior

Good morning, Thank you for your question and your interest in our pulley/rope kit and anchor plates for aerial equipment. The kit can indeed be installed outdoors, including on a pergola, thanks to its stainless steel and galvanized components, which are designed to withstand outdoor conditions. However, there is one important point to keep in mind: while the metal components are robust against the elements, the rope is more sensitive to elements like humidity and climatic variations. It could deteriorate more quickly if exposed to rain or extreme conditions. For optimal outdoor use, we recommend installing this kit in a location sheltered from the rain. If you plan to use it outdoors without protection, it will be crucial to regularly monitor the condition of the rope and other components to avoid any risk of premature wear. In summary, use on a pergola is possible, but for better durability, we advise you to ensure that the material is protected from the elements as much as possible. Pay attention to the solidity of your pergola I just talked about bad weather and outdoor use, but of course you know that your pergola structure needs to have at least one ton of resistance to accommodate aerials. Contact a building professional (architect, design firm, carpenter, rigger) to study the feasibility of your project; only a building professional will be able to tell you if the structure is robust enough for your use. Please do not hesitate if you have any further questions, I will be happy to help you!

    Question dimensions truck loop

Hello, I am interested in this kit, however, given the size of the beams on which the apparatus would be fixed, I would need larger truck loops (approximately 2m). I would therefore like to know if it was possible to have the references of each element in order to put together a kit myself with the length of truck loop that suits me.

    Thanks in advance
