Goat Grip
Sold individually: roll of 2 meters of grip.
It's hard to describe in words the feel of this grip. It is relatively thick and clearly it is a quality grip: robust and good adhesion to use on a staff.
Generally, we change a grip after 1 or 2 years on a staff. This grip should last you at least 3 years with intensive use.
It doesn't need to be glued onto the staff. With this 2 meter roll, you will be able to cover a meter of staff (on a 22mm diameter staff). You will therefore need a roll for each meter you want to cover.
Technical characteristics of the goat grip:
- Length on a roll: 2 meters.
- Grip width: 3cm.
- Covers a meter on a staff 22mm in diameter.
How to apply the grip on a staff?
Everyone has their own technique, but if this is the first time you replace the grip of a staff, here is an explanatory video that will surely inspire you.
The adhesive tape as well as the double sided tape shown in the video is not included when you order the goat grip.
It is important to choose a tape that won't ooze in the sun.
On our website, check the thin tape that I recommend for the marking of your staffs. And you can also find a wider tape that I recommend for the ends of your staffs. They are very good quality tapes so they cost a bit. If you don't want to buy both, the wider one tears very easily and neatly along the length, so you can easily make thin tape from the wide tape. Whether you buy them from us or elsewhere, we have a soft spot for the two brands of tape: Tesa and / or Pro Gaff.
