Nybras Fire Staff - 80 cm or 100 cm

The Nybras Fire Staff is a technical instrument designed for spinning, isolations, and multi-staff juggling. It is available in two lengths: 80 cm or 100 cm .

Its design is based on a hybrid structure combining the rigidity of a 7075 T6 aluminum tube and the robustness of Play Juggling's PX3 internal tubing system. This architecture makes it particularly resistant to bending, with significantly greater strength than standard 6060 aluminum models.

    Fire Staff Nybras Play Juggling
Lengths 80 cm or 100 cm
    Mass 280 g or 380 g
    Aluminum 7075 T6 high strength
    Internal structure PVC Tubular PX3
    Grip X-GRIP on EPDM foam
Combustion approximately 4 to 7 minutes

Choose between 80 cm and 100 cm

The 80cm version is the shortest and lightest. It's ideal for fast spinning, isolation exercises, underarm passes, and training with multiple staffs. It's also suitable for smaller athletes.

The 100cm version offers greater stability and a more impressive flame visual thanks to its wider wicks. It maintains good responsiveness while providing more inertia for casting.

    X-GRIP technology and ergonomics

Comfortable handling is ensured by an EPDM foam underlayer covered with heat-shrink X-GRIP . This coating offers superior durability compared to racket-style grips. Its texture guarantees consistent grip, even during rapid movements.

⚠️ Grip precaution: Deodorized petroleum fumes can prematurely degrade X-GRIP. Never store your staff in a sealed waterproof bag; allow the equipment to breathe in a ventilated bag after use.

    NetJuggler's review

"The Nybras excels in spinning and isolation techniques. The 80cm version is very responsive and easy to work close to the body, while the 100cm version offers more stability and a more pronounced flame. However, be aware that its slim 15mm diameter makes it unsuitable for pure contact techniques."

    "Sushi" braiding system

The wicks are wound tightly, also known as "Sushi" mounting. This construction promotes good fuel absorption and helps maintain a balanced setup. The wicks are secured in beechwood end caps, making them easy to replace when worn.

    Nybras Staff FAQ

Which size should I choose between 80 cm and 100 cm?
The 80cm model is more responsive, lighter, and better suited to quick passages or smaller users. The 100cm model offers greater stability, more heat retention, and a larger flame.
Is the Nybras staff suited to contact?
No. Despite its quality construction, its 15mm diameter and relatively light weight make it unsuitable for contact staff body bearings. It's designed for spinning, isolation exercises, and multi-staff training.
Can you change the strands yourself?
Yes. The "Sushi" type fitting is fixed in the beechwood end caps. Replacement is possible when the bits are worn, provided that a clean and tight reassembly is performed.
How do I maintain the X-GRIP?
Clean it with a damp sponge. Avoid storing it in an airtight bag after use, as fuel vapors can impair the grip's adhesion.
Is this staff suitable for beginners?
Yes, provided you are supervised when making a fire. The 80cm model will be easier to handle for starting, while the 100cm will be better suited to those looking for more stability.
