Balloon sculpting books:

This sheet brings together the 4 volumes of the collection dedicated to balloon sculpting: Fantastic Balloons , Dream Balloons , New Balloon Sculptures and Costumes.

These books allow you to learn, progress and enrich your repertoire of models, whether you are a beginner, entertainer, clown, magician, street artist or experienced balloon sculptor.

The books present numerous creations explained step by step with the help of many photos. They allow for a better understanding of the basic techniques of balloon twisting : inflation, twisting, bubbles, assembly, proportions and construction of more elaborate sculptures.

The first three volumes are devoted to classic balloon sculptures, while the fourth volume specializes in the creation of costumes made entirely of balloons.

The 4 available volumes:

Volume 1: Fantastic Balloons

Volume 2: Dream Balloons

Which volume should I choose?

The four books are complementary. Volume 1 offers a large number of models and techniques, with a particularly rich approach to discovering and varying sculptures. Volume 2 contains fewer models, but with more explanatory photos, making it very interesting for following the constructions in detail. Volume 3 completes the collection with many additional models. Volume 4 is dedicated to balloon costumes.

  • Volume 1 - Fantastic Balloons: ideal for having a wide choice of sculptures and techniques.
  • Volume 2 - Dream Balloons: ideal for further exploration with very visual and detailed explanations.
  • Volume 3 - New Sculptures: ideal for completing the collection with many additional models.
  • Volume 4 - Balloon Costumes: ideal for learning how to make complete balloon costumes.

NetJuggler's review of these books:

These books aren't new and their layout is a bit dated, but the content remains highly relevant. The explanations are clear, the steps are well-photographed, and it's easy to understand where the author is leading us. They are practical, effective, and always useful for learning balloon sculpting or refreshing your design ideas.

The volume dedicated to costumes contains very little text: the photos speak for themselves. The techniques explained can also serve as a basis for imagining your own balloon creations.

Learn balloon sculpting:

Balloon sculpting is an essential activity in entertainment. It allows you to quickly create animals, flowers, hats, characters, decorative objects and costumes that appeal to both children and adults.

These books are particularly suitable for working on one's repertoire, preparing workshops, organizing birthday entertainment, participating in festivals or enriching a live performance.

The numerous photos allow you to follow the assembly of the sculptures without getting lost. This is a real advantage for understanding the volumes, the direction of the twists, and the connections between the different parts of the balloon.

Which balloons should be used with these books?

The majority of the sculptures presented in these books use 260Q sculpting balloons. This format is the classic of balloon sculpting: it allows you to create animals, flowers, swords, hats, characters, costumes and many decorative creations.

To practice under optimal conditions, NetJuggler recommends using a balloon pump . 260Q balloons are long and thin: inflating them by mouth requires a lot of practice. For beginners, for learning more comfortably, or for creating multiple balloon sculptures during an event, a pump is practically essential.

Who are these books intended for?

  • For beginners who want to learn balloon sculpting step by step.
  • For entertainers who wish to offer varied models at birthdays, school parties or events.
  • For street artists, clowns and magicians who want to enrich their performances.
  • For experienced balloon sculptors looking for new creative ideas.
  • For educational institutions and associations wishing to set up creative workshops around the ball.
  • For facilitators who wish to learn how to make balloon costumes for visual and participatory animations.

To begin, you will need a supply of 260Q balloons and a suitable pump. These two accessories will allow you to immediately practice the models explained in the books.
