Freestyle (or artistic) is a discipline where you do all kinds of acrobatics while staying on the unicycle. It could be identified as a unicycle version of figure skating. Freestyle is practiced on a flat ground or indoors. Freestyle unicycles are generally used in contemporary circus acts.
Street unicycling is a recent discipline. The goal is to execute tricks using natural or urban obstacles. The most used unicycles are the 20" trials which make jumps easier and are easier to handle. Some have a 24" wheel.
The trial aims to find an unlikely place to practice the unicycle. As for the street discipline, the tire of the unicycle is wider. The challenge is to try to surpass yourself. It can be practiced in a natural environment, in an urban environment or on an artificial site.
