Additional certification in experimentation: Facilitating advanced training sessions in circus arts (2026–2027)

The Balthazar Circus Arts Centre is offering a new pilot supplementary certification in 2026-2027 entitled "Leading Advanced Circus Arts Training Sessions". This professional training program, developed under the impetus of the French Federation of Circus Schools (FFEC) and the ÉCLAT branch, addresses the qualification needs that have arisen since the discontinuation of the BPJEPS Circus Activities qualification.

Designed for professionals in animation, education, sports, and circus arts, this certification provides the skills necessary to design, prepare, and lead advanced training sessions for diverse audiences. Participants also develop their skills in safety, creativity, pedagogical adaptation, and practice analysis.

The training includes 150 hours of classes divided into five thematic sessions as well as 175 hours of practical training within a school approved by the FFEC.

The teaching takes place mainly in the facilities of the CADC Balthazar, which have specialized rooms, two permanent big tops, creative spaces as well as a resource center dedicated to circus arts.

At the end of the 2026-2027 experimentation period, this certification is intended to be registered in the Specific Directory of France Compétences.

Prerequisites

The candidate must, in particular, possess:

a BPJEPS or a level 4 certification in the field of animation,
or a STAPS degree
or a CS GOAL
or a DEUST AGAPSC.
or a degree in Educational Sciences.

Interviews and/or technical tests are planned for candidates who do not meet these criteria.
