Cirque du Soleil continues its grand European tour with OVO, one of its most iconic and beloved creations. Inspired by the fascinating world of insects, OVO – which means "egg" in Portuguese – immerses us in a miniature ecosystem teeming with life, where each creature plays its part in a perpetual ballet. The story begins when a somewhat clumsy insect falls in love with a beautiful ladybug. Their encounter takes place in the heart of a colony where insects work, dance, feed, flutter, and celebrate life. The mysterious appearance of a gigantic egg disrupts their daily routine and symbolizes the cycle of life, birth, and renewal.
On stage, more than 50 international artists bring this extraordinary world to life through a series of acts blending aerial acrobatics, hand balancing, hand-to-hand balancing, trampoline, tumbling, juggling, contortion, dance, and visual theatre. Each discipline flows seamlessly into the next, accompanied by live music and a dynamic staging that alternates between humor, poetry, and thrills.
