The Clown and Presence Cycle 1 offers three training weekends between October 2026 and January 2027 in Rennes. This progression allows participants to explore the fundamentals of clowning through presence, doubt, determination, variation, and rhythm.
Participants will be encouraged to embrace the risks of performance, to listen to what unfolds in the moment, and to build genuine connections with their partners and the audience. This program provides comprehensive training for those wishing to develop their clowning and improvisation skills.
Program
The approach
This first weekend explores the clown between doubt and determination. It allows participants to work on entering the scene, presence, availability, and relating to the gaze of the other.
The art of variation
The second weekend focuses on how the clown transforms, repeats, and develops a performance. Variation becomes a source of rhythm, surprise, and the joy of play.
The clown's leitmotif
The final weekend focuses on the dynamics of play related to rhythm and what drives the clown internally.
The pedagogy developed by Trame de Vie emphasizes self-awareness, listening, sincerity, commitment to improvisation and relationships with partners.
