Immerse yourself in the sensitive, funny, and profoundly human world of clowning with the "Clown on the Path" workshop, offered by Compagnie En Jeu(x) in Grenoble. Open to everyone, regardless of experience level, this workshop is an invitation to discover your own inner clown, explore your vulnerability, imagination, and ability to create moments of poetry, laughter, and connection.
Held over two Saturdays, November 14, 2026 and January 23, 2027, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., this workshop allows you to participate in one or both days, depending on your preference. Each workshop provides a true playground for exploration where everyone is invited to experiment, play, and take risks in a warm and supportive atmosphere.
Throughout the afternoon, participants discover the fundamentals of clowning through a series of group games, physical exercises, improvisations, and role-playing scenarios. The goal is not to "know how to be a clown," but rather to allow a sincere, authentic, and unique character to emerge, capable of transforming everyday mishaps into moments of grace, humor, and emotion.
The workshop also provides a huge dressing room filled with props and costumes, giving everyone the opportunity to explore different facets of their clown persona, try out unexpected characters, and nurture their imagination. The props become tools for developing creativity, physical expression, and the joy of play.
The experience doesn't end within the walls of the room. Each workshop concludes with a short excursion into the neighborhood, where participants spread the poetry of clowning through the streets of Grenoble. This outing allows them to experience clowning in a real-life setting, to create spontaneous encounters with passersby, and to discover how a few moments of play can transform a public space into a genuine place of sharing. It's often a memorable experience that, according to the organizer, makes people "so eager to do it again."
Open to those aged 15 and over, this workshop welcomes both beginners and those with prior artistic experience. No prior level is required: only motivation, curiosity, respect for others, and kindness matter. Everyone progresses at their own pace in an environment where listening and a non-judgmental approach are central.
The workshop is led by Laëtitia, a trainer and clown, who guides participants with gentleness, humor, and sensitivity throughout. Her approach prioritizes trust, experimentation, and the joy of playing rather than performance.
The workshop takes place at Espace Partagé Vigny Musset, located at 13 rue Guy Môquet in Grenoble, in a room accessible to people with reduced mobility (PRM). Participants are encouraged to wear loose, colorful clothing and comfortable shoes suitable for movement, in order to fully enjoy the activities.
Several pricing options are offered to make the internship accessible to as many people as possible:
€80 for standard registration for both days;
€50 for the solidarity rate for both days, without proof of income, based simply on trust in participants whose means are more limited;
€40 to participate in a single day at the standard rate;
€25 for a single day at the solidarity rate.
The Compagnie En Jeu(x) advocates an inclusive vision of artistic practice and hopes that financial issues will never be a barrier to participation.
