During the spring holidays of 2027, La Coopérative De Rue et De Cirque (2r2c) invites children aged 6 to 10 to experience a week of immersion in the world of circus arts at RueWATT, its creation and practice space located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris.
Organised from 5 to 9 April 2027, this workshop takes place every morning from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, with possible arrival from 10:00 am. For five days, young participants discover the many facets of circus arts in a fun, supportive and age-appropriate environment, under the guidance of a professional circus artist.
Throughout the workshops, children explore a wide variety of circus disciplines. They are introduced to aerial arts, balance games, object manipulation, and partner acrobatics, all while developing their motor skills, coordination, creativity, and self-confidence. Each session is designed to allow everyone to progress at their own pace, in a spirit of cooperation, attentive listening, and enjoyment.
The workshop is not limited to physical practice. Participants also explore the vocabulary specific to the world of circus, its history, and the different circus styles, in order to better understand the richness and diversity of this living art. Children are encouraged to give free rein to their imagination, to experiment, create, and invent together in a friendly and stimulating atmosphere.
Throughout the week, the learning that takes place gradually takes the form of a small collective creation. On the last day of the workshop, families and friends are invited to attend a short performance, allowing the children to present the results of their work and share their experience in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
The workshop takes place at RueWATT, located at 18 rue Watt, 75013 Paris, an iconic venue run by 2r2c – La Coopérative De Rue et De Cirque, an organization renowned for its commitment to street arts and contemporary circus. The venue is easily accessible by public transport via Metro line 14 and RER C (Bibliothèque François Mitterrand station), as well as tram line T3a (Avenue de France station).
The price is €135 for the week. In accordance with the organizer's terms and conditions, tickets are neither exchangeable nor refundable.
This workshop offers children an excellent opportunity to discover circus arts in a professional and supportive environment, developing their creativity, balance, coordination, and artistic expression while sharing a rich and rewarding collective adventure. Whether it's a first introduction or a way to nurture a budding passion, this week promises a complete immersion in the fascinating world of contemporary circus, culminating in the joy of performing on stage in front of family and friends at the end of the workshop.
