Over eight sessions spread between November 2026 and June 2027, the Culture et Loisirs Jean Macé association is offering a clowning workshop in Laval, led by Caroline Sourget. Designed as a genuine journey of discovery and artistic exploration, this workshop invites participants to develop their clowning style through progressive work, in a friendly, supportive, and creative atmosphere.

Each session, held from 2 pm to 5 pm, offers three hours of immersion in clowning. Through exercises in improvisation, stage presence, listening, physical expression, and interaction with partners and the audience, each participant is invited to explore their imagination, accept the gaze of others, play with their emotions, and allow their own inner clown to emerge. Caroline Sourget's approach emphasizes the sincerity of the performance, spontaneity, the joy of being on stage, and the richness of individual expression, while also fostering a strong group dynamic.

The workshop is designed as a complete cycle of eight sessions. Participants therefore commit to attending throughout the year to allow for genuine individual and collective progress. The number of places is intentionally limited to 8 to 10 participants, ensuring personalized support and in-depth work with each individual.

The sessions are scheduled, subject to room availability, for the following dates:

Saturday, November 7, 2026
Saturday, December 12, 2026
Saturday, January 9, 2027 (a date error appears on the HelloAsso page which mentions 2026)
Saturday, February 6, 2027
Saturday, March 13, 2027
Saturday, April 10, 2027
Saturday, May 22, 2027
Saturday, June 12 or 19, 2027 (the final date will be confirmed later)

The exact location of the sessions will be communicated by the association depending on the availability of the rooms, but the organization is ensured by Culture et Loisirs Jean Macé, based at 17 rue de Rastatt, 53000 Laval, in Mayenne.

Registration is offered at a fee of €80 for the entire cycle. Participants can also choose to pay in three installments of €27, for a total of €81. Registration is done via the HelloAsso platform, which also allows for optional donations to the association to support its cultural activities.

Culture et Loisirs Jean Macé is a Laval-based association that has been working for many years to promote culture and leisure activities for all audiences. In particular, it develops theater workshops and courses for amateurs, led by professional artists and actors. This clown workshop is fully aligned with this approach of sharing knowledge, artistic discovery, and collective practice.

Whether you wish to discover the world of clowning for the first time or deepen an existing practice, this program offers an excellent opportunity to build self-confidence, explore your creativity, develop your expressiveness, and experience a rich and rewarding human adventure. Through regular work over several months, each participant will be able to develop their character, enrich their performance, and experience the full freedom that the art of clowning offers in a supportive and stimulating environment.
