🎪 The Périgny International Circus Festival returns for its 3rd edition in winter 2026! Just a few minutes from La Rochelle, in Charente-Maritime, the big top is once again being set up in Périgny to accompany the holiday season with a grand family circus show.
From November 28, 2026 to January 3, 2027, the Périgny International Circus Festival invites young and old to rediscover all the magic of the Christmas circus at P'Arc en Ciel, Rue du Muguet in Périgny, in a heated big top that can accommodate 1,400 spectators per show.
🎪 A grand international circus show
For its third season, the Périgny International Circus Festival announces a new show bringing together artists from major international stages and acts awarded in prestigious festivals.
The aim is to offer a true Christmas circus show, combining technical prowess, emotion, humor and wonder in the tradition of great shows under the big top.
Some of the previous editions have notably allowed the public to discover juggling, diabolo, aerial hoop, equestrian acrobatics and dressage, fire acts, the wheel of death, a globe of motorcycles, clowns and music.
⚠️ The detailed artistic program for the 2026 edition has not yet been published. The disciplines and artists featured in the previous edition offer a glimpse into the festival's spirit but should not be considered the final 2026 program.
Previous editions have notably featured Julien Civrais with diabolo and a fire act, Noémi Vasquez in equestrian liberty, Keven Fernandez in juggling, Les Légendes d'autrefois in equestrian vaulting and dressage, the Rivera Brothers on the wheel of death, Rosa Pisfil on the aerial hoop, Los Peres with their globe of motorcycles or the clown Christophe Challande.
🏆 The public participates in the festival
The Périgny International Circus Festival does not simply present a succession of acts: spectators are also invited to vote for their favorite act.
A People's Choice Award allows everyone to support their favorite artist or act, before an awards ceremony at the end of the event.
In the previous edition, a professional jury composed in particular of entertainment personalities, celebrities, elected officials and local actors also awarded its own distinctions.
🎩 Godparents and personalities of the festival
Since its inception, the festival has surrounded itself with personalities from the world of entertainment.
For the first edition, Martin Lamotte was chosen as the patron. The actor, known in particular for his roles alongside Coluche, the Splendid troupe or in Nos chers voisins, also took on the role of clown for the occasion.
The second edition was marked by the presence of Sophie Edelstein, a magician and renowned illusionist known to the public for having been a judge on France's Got Talent. As the festival's patron, she also contributed her experience as an artistic director to the show's preparation.
Mickaël Gallo, singer and finalist of The Voice on TF1 in 2025, had been a sponsor and singer of the show.
These personalities belong to the history of the first editions of the festival: the final composition of the sponsorship and the 2026 program remains to be confirmed by the organization.
⏱️ Two hours of entertainment under a heated big top
The show lasts approximately 2 hours, including a 20-minute intermission.
The public is welcomed into a large heated tent with 1,400 seats per showing, which is particularly welcome for this event organized in the middle of winter.
The Périgny International Circus Festival is first and foremost a family event, accessible to both children and adults, to discover or rediscover the circus arts in a festive atmosphere.
🍭 Food, drinks and souvenirs available on site
The experience continues around the show with several services offered on the site.
Spectators can find food and drink stands, a souvenir shop and a sweets area on site, to enjoy the festival atmosphere before or after the performance.
🎆 A New Year's Eve under the big top
On December 31st, the Périgny International Circus Festival also offers a special evening to celebrate the arrival of the new year with the artists.
The New Year's Eve dinner and show package includes:
From 7pm to 9:30pm: cocktail and meal including starter, main course, cheeses and dessert, with a selection of savory and sweet dishes.
The package also includes a flute and two glasses of drinks, including Vouvray Fine Bulle, a selection of wines, craft beers, fruit juices and non-alcoholic drinks according to the package offered by the organization.
At 10pm: start of the show with approximately 2 hours of program.
At midnight: ringing in the new year in the company of the artists.
The party then continues with a dance party in the heart of the dance floor until 2 a.m. with the troupe.
⚠️ New Year's Eve dinner is offered only by reservation and limited to 200 people.
It is also possible to attend only the 10pm performance, without participating in dinner, by booking a seat at the usual show prices.

Specific packages are also offered for company and community Christmas parties, with various options that may include a snack, gifts or even a meeting with Santa Claus.

The festival also relies on the commitment of the Association of Friends of the Circus, which brings together enthusiasts wishing to contribute to the development of the Périgny International Circus Festival and more broadly to the promotion of circus arts.
